The older brother was a self-described "very religious" Muslim and frequented jihadist websites. It doesn't seem that the younger brother is a radical, or he hid it well if he is.

I'm confused with 2 reports, one was infrared from chopper found him and the other was the home owner found him.
He must have been very injured because once the home owner lifts the tarp you would think he takes off.
Also how does one go from that gun battle with 100+ rounds to escaping into a boat?

I blame it on the media trying to create their own stories but do look forward to the official timeline!

I'm pretty sure the older brother was investigated in the past because of fears he was an extremist. He also became a devout Muslim starting in 2009.

Of course it's important to look at this as much more complicated that "evil muslims". It needs to be looked at in the context of what caused them to become radicals. Just looking at Islam as the inherent problem and the two brothers as inherently evil won't get anyone anywhere. But that's what has already happened and what will continue to happen.

Sorry that may be my fault as I did make it sound like the helicopter found him. The homeowner found him and called cops. The helicopter using the IR camera knew he was still there and detected the movement (I'm guessing that the reports on the scanners of arms and legs moving were then coming from the helicopter camera).


also I want to say devout muslim does not in any way shape or form equal radical muslim despite the general belief among many. I know several devout muslims and not one radical.
