I don't know about that.

No team in the league is as masterful at treading water as the Calgary Flames.

They are the kings of icing teams that are not competitive to win the cup yet aren't bad enough to ever really grab the elite talent at the high end of the draft.

(Apparently) no one can ever take that away from us.

Maybe since the Flames are actually playing hard it looks like the Ducks are playing bad.

That would have been a gorgeous goal by Max Power.

Max is going to be a very good goal scorer as he matures.

Oh cry me a river!

You would have done the same thing if you were in his position. A majority of people would have.

If you only look at this game, so far, then yes.

Yes we saw your whining earlier in the thread about how the Flames weren't doing as you see fit and just throwing in the towel. We get the point. At least wait until the PGT to whine about how they will get a terrible sub 10 pick that won't amount to anything more than a bag of pucks and complain about how this franchise can't even lose properly.

Or just keep whining now, whatever floats your boat.

Although I want the Flames to lose out, they are playing well enough tonight. I have been flicking back and forth between my SD feed (thanks Shaw/snet) and the oilers game in HD. That game in Colorado is unwatcheable. Colorado have got to be one of the worst coached teams in the league or they are uncoachable. Terrible in all aspects of the game.

I also have to compliment the flames for defending as a unit, and it is clear to me that Hartley has been successful in getting the team to back check. A marked difference from earlier in the season.

Just our luck that Babchuk is now playing like Lidstrom.

I think Hartley can be successful with this young group. It's refreshing to see young blood.
