It is quite amazing that he can hide all day without being spotted. He can't really go into people's homes because everyone is at home. If they saw something in their yard, they would just yell out at the 10,000 cops that are everywhere and tell them where the guy is.
You would think he would be outside somewhere moving along. Would also think that a police or National Guard helicopter would be able to pick up a lone heat signature of a guy moving along house to house.
The whole thing boggles my mind, or maybe the area they are covering is massive.
And the guy can't be that smart because this whole thing started when he robbed a 7-11. If the whole City was looking for you, probably not the best idea to go robbing convenience stores.

Just finding out now about this shooting, so are they the suspects that they think put off the bombs? I haven't followed it that closely.

Except he wasn't actually dead yet, just mortally wounded. Maybe he would have survived if the other punk didn't run him over.

Blame the tires?
Not sure why people are so concerned with what the father has to say. Clearly he is bias and giving his sons the benefit of the doubt (to quite the extreme of course). Plus he is probably from a time and/or country where distrust of the police is quite legitimate. I'm sure it's pretty easy to find parents of murders and serial killers who claimed innocence for their clearly guilty child.

It seems apparent he's found a spot to hide.
It may be a shed with no food, water or toilet, it may be a pocket inside a hedgerow and exposed to the elements, or he might have found an unoccupied house and is cooking spaghetti for a hearty supper right now with CNN blaring in the background.
But its pretty unlikely he's walking around or has done much movement since daylight hit.

If the older brother was the ringleader and this kid was just some follower, he's probably scared crapless right now. Somehow he has to turn himself in.

How was your trip to the far side of the moon?
My guess is that he will be found dead, in a vehicle somewhere.. possibly rigged with explosives.

If my nephew/son was chucking bombs and shooting it out with cops, yeah, I probably wouldn't be able to deny it.

Looking at the area I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in the river and possibly got away or died doing so with it being around 5 degrees overnight.

One thing I've learned from streetviewing much of suburban Boston; its god awfully depressing looking. Same weird huge multifamily houses perched right on tight streets. Same thing over and over. Even close in to Boston downtown is the same thing.

Again, I'm pretty sure the last legitimate sighting of him was way back before 4AM Boston time by Arsenal court (Unless they did confirm he was at that Dexter ave home later, but I think it was said that he didn't trigger the motion detectors, but then again, they do say they found pipe bombs in the location), I don't know if they had the entire perimeter locked down by then, I really wonder if he somehow got to the other side of the river and isn't even in the vicinity right now.

CNN is talking to Jahar's (spelling it phonetically) former wrestling coach, whose own son ran in the marathon his former student bombed. Interesting.

I don't think you understand the mentallity of these killers now. They are in a sense crusaders. They got past their fear long ago, this last one is not afraid, he knows that there's only one result and he's not going to turn himself in, he had lots of opportunity to do that already, even with something as simple as a phone call.
He wants to cause as much fear and damage and pain as he can on the way out. He knows he;s a dead man walking so why not take a few "oppresses" with him.
This is only going to end in one way, with a zipper covering his dead eyes, or in another way, in pieces.
When a person does what these two did, which is attempted intentional mass murder of woman and children, by the time that they arrive at the decision to do it, all humanity and pretty much all fear is probably gone.

I was just chatting with my old man, asked him what he'd do if I did something like this.
"Any son of mine that did something like these kids, is no son I want. I'd put you down before they could."
I didn't think he was that cold LOL.

I'm disagreeing here if it was my nephew or my boys i wouldn't deny it ether but i would be crushed. Like no no no how could they have done this. Like remembering all the great times i had with them as an Uncle or Father.
I realize that this not so much the same the way the Aunt and Father are coming across.
Is it possible because of the police conditions in Chechnya that they are used to. They want proof like show me video of their sons actually doing this.
They could have their own rational reasons for being in denial and feeling that this is a set up.
Maybe just denial that they know and remember the bombers as good normal boys.
Its pretty clear the boys changed all that the day they decided to murder innocent people.
Its total madness.

I started keeping track of where they were talking about on the scanner with google maps and it sure makes you wonder if they will find this guy. They have a huge area and a ton of houses to look through. And if he did somehow get into the river or out of the search area he could be long gone.

They didn't kill the guy who's car they hijacked. Maybe they don't have the stomach to face innocent people as they kill them.
