I may have missed that as I just woke up. I'll stop although I doubt he is following CP.

Then again, for HOURS after basically all other sources had declared the "naked guy" that the police had detained, was not a suspect... CNN adamantly said he was and used that basis for saying the first suspect was still alive when all other sources said the first suspect was in fact dead. Shoddy reporting.
Very slightly OT rant: And also... I was watching CNN yesterday afternoon and they were talking about the Marathon bombings and they had this picture up on the screen of a light coloured backpack that was leaning against the barrier between the runners and the crowd and speculating that it had one of the bombs. I immediately knew (a guy from Calgary with a medical background and not much else) that this was not one of the bombs. Why? Because you can clearly see in the pictures and the videos that the bombs were up against the buildings, behind the spectators. NOT in front of the spectators up against the barrier. Shoddy reporting!

EOD robot still working on that earlier suspect with the device. Trying to get his jacket off!
edit: officers tacked him and saw a switch in his hand

I just figured with CNN being on a whole 5 second delay it wasn't a big deal.

Well if the Father is now making threats...
Quote:
The father of suspected Boston Marathon bomber called on his son today to give up peacefully, but warned the U.S. that if his son is killed "all hell will break loose."
Anzor Tsarnaev spoke to ABC News from his home in the Russian city of Makhachkala as Boston police carried out an intense dragnet for his son Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, survived a running gun battle with police during the night that left an MIT security officer dead and a Boston cop badly wounded. His older brother died in the shootout.
The father said he spoke to his sons by phone earlier this week. "We talked about the bombing. I was worried about then," Anzor Tsarnaev said.
He said his sons reassured him, saying, "Everything is good, Daddy. Everything is very good."
The elder Tsarnaev insisted that his sons were innocent, but said he would appeal to his son to "surrender peacefully."
"Give up. Give up. You have a bright future ahead of you. Come home to Russia," the dad said.
The father warned, however, "If they killed him, then all hell would break loose."

Yeah, doesn't look like anyone has pulled back from the reporting anyways.

Yeah, I admit I didn't think of that. I would be fine with him being sentenced to multiple life terms with no parole. Being sent to one of the Supermax prisons and being put in the highest level block where you get no real human contact for the next 60 or 70 years. No communication, hopefully no appeals, just himself and his brain slowly starving from a lack of contact, friends, love.
Very little sunlight, no contact during exercise hours or showers.
To be basically buried alive.until 1 day after 50 or 60 years, the guards enter his cell, throw his corpse into a body bag and bury it behind the prison with no grave marker, long after he's forgotten.
I can live with that too.

Theyre sending a second EOD robot to help with the suspect with the device being looked at.

I think with so many people having friends/family in the area people want to know. And sounds like CNN has the delay only for the chance of graphic footage not to help the police.
Sounds like they are close to another suspect. I'll leave it at that.

CBC reporter seems to think the suspect was apprehended, but he says it was just a rumour. - now they are saying that the suspect was not in the muffler shop.

Wow .......this is so bizarre. Everyone got it wrong.
Wolf Blitzer, Michael Moore etc. owe conservatives an apology.
Does this mean Obama and Putin can team up and be friends now?

The uncle however, not so keen on defending the two
Quote:
The suspects' uncle told the local CBS News station that the pair had lived in the country since 2002. The uncle, when told that one of his nephews was killed, replied that he deserved it. “He deserved his. He absolutely deserved his,” Ruslan Tsarni said. “They do not deserve to live on this earth.”

Okay, just to clear things up.
Apparently the person they are examining with EOD and who may have a switch in his hand/wearing a vest is a 60-70 year old white male and is NOT the suspect they were looking for.
This situation is weird.

Anyone with law enforcement experience understand how cops use these radios? I mean, Im listening to a straight radio feed and its hard to decipher what people are saying sometimes, but it seems like they have no problem, even though they have background noise and movement to deal with.

I haven't had any problems understanding them except when they refer to a car as a caaaaaarh.

But I mean, some people are quite fuzzy; imagine trying to listen, while running/driving, with sirens blaring, people talking, etc.
