Another potential eery story; a brown student who looks quite similar (again, not trying to frame anyone, but same nose and area of the country), went missing a month ago, he dropped out of college for depression AND last seen with black jacket. Left a suicidal note for his family, but no sign of body, etc.
Again, just reposting from reddit; Ive removed links to his name, but its just one of 100 leads that've been sent to the FBI by them.

Maybe he lost his backpack in the confusion of the aftermath? How many bags were left behind for police to check?

You know this whole event gives me an idea.
With all of the high resolution DSLR amateur photographers out there, what people could do for large events like this, is volunteer to work the crowds and roof tops, constantly photographing the crowds. You could even post signs at the events warning them of this 'organic' surveillance. If you had 50 or 100 cameras specifically photographing the crowds from strategic vantage points, it would be impossible to get away with something like this. Even with grainy security footage they were able to figure out these suspects, Imagine if they had high resolution photos of them, and of them planting the bombs.

He might be holding his bag in his right hand in that pic.

Does it look that way?
It's really impossible to judge that from a snap shot. The chubby middle-aged white guy in the middle appears to be smiling.
Just a quick picture, impossible to judge that.

The FBI said during their presser that they had video of the white hat suspect leaving his backpack at one of the bomb sites. Doesn't necessarily mean that he's the bomber though.

I know, it's hard to tell. It just seems that when you put all of this together, it becomes easier to see things like that. Who knows, maybe it'll turn out these guys are innocent altogether. I am finding this whole process quite interesting though.

Yeah, I know. I just feel terrible for this 17 year old kid who was posted on the front page of the news (post) and talked about in this thread and many others like it.

Pictures of him were posted here only a few short pages back and we haven't seen any talk of him after he was cleared.

What I find interesting is that the two guys aren't walking together, but yet they're in the same areas before and after the bomb based on Ducay's photo. This is classic behaviour for two guys who don't want to appear to be associating with each other or drawing attention to hear them talking. If they are the bombers and they're not from the States, a "foreign accent" is the kind of thing they're trying to hide.
Again, speculation, but that's a big deal and should be on the radar of the FBI.

I hope that Barhoun kid sues that crap out of the NYPost. Media outlets shouldn't be able to rush out and print whatever unverified junk just to get attention, and then give a big old "Lol JK" afterwards.

Okay, this is going to sound dickish, but I don't mean it to, so maybe you can explain it and make me look the fool and that would be fine...
How exactly would the direction he's going help police out considerably?
He's turning right. He's takin' a right on Fairfield, according to the sign. Let's say that's south, for argument's sake. Like, you know, so what? He's gone in a southerly direction away from the crime. Does that mean they start looking south of where this picture was taken?
And how does he look like he's got a planned getaway? The guy in front of him is turning right too. Which one looks more planned than the other?

I think it stinks for those 2 guys who made the NYpost for sure. But what about the guy who went missing a month ago. His family is now having his name brought up but as a possible suspect? What a crap thing to go through.
I am no facial recognition expert, and I know the quality sucks, but these 2 don't look the same.

Probably just help narrow down where they should continue looking for more photos/video?

Agreed. Based on their noses and skin tones, I wouldn't be shocked if they're from the same general part of the world, but I don't see any resemblance between either of the suspects and the missing kid other than that.

I don't think Suspect #1 is in the photo that Ducay posted. The one guy looks a little like him, but appears to have a different shirt on and his hat looks a little different.

The direction he heads can help authorities identify a direction he was heading, and map out his exit route. Whether he's a suspect or not, there might be video cameras or people who saw this guy heading in a direction. Could be on foot, towards a waiting car, towards a train/bus, anything. But where he goes afterwards is extremely important and is likely being traced by the FBI.
If he's a suspect, you have to get all the facts and put the puzzle together of how these guys entered the scene, set off the devices, and exited the scene. The fact that Suspect #1 appears to be following behind in Ducay's photo may indicate a connection too (if it is him).
And knowing other pre-planned attacks, it is likely that no stone is left unturned by these suspects as to how they exit the scene. They want as little outside factors influencing their escape as possible. They devise the path of least resistance. I'd even say that if these guys are the suspects and it's premeditated, they've long since left the vicinity of Boston and moved away from the heat. Again, speculation though.
My graduate thesis was on intelligence analysis, so I'm not saying I know all the details of how the FBI does their job, but I like to believe I have a good idea.

I would bet a lot of people dropped any backpacks or bags they were carrying once the bombs started going off. If I were in that situation I would drop anything like that holding me back as quickly as possible and get the heck out of dodge. So someone losing, or dropping a backpack after the bombs went off would be understandable.
Although I do agree that he does seem quite casual in that photo, he appears to be walking from the scene casually, without any real desperation to get away from the catastrophe. Almost everyone else in the picture is either running in the opposite direction, or turning around to find out what happened. So it might be just one single picture, but his reaction doesn't make much sense.

CNN said just now video shows the suspects watching the scene after the bombing, and walking away casually. From a law enforcement source.

This is the Google Maps view of about where the picture was taken:

Off topic, but if you look at the link there are three beta deltas in front of Anthropologie looking at the hot chick walking down the street, and not very covertly lol . . .
