Default Bruins might make lucic a healthy scratch on friday

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=421103

Oilers definately need a player like Lucic

Over hyped & overpaid!

Although I would love him on the Flames at a lower price tag

they are strategically resting their players before the playoffs. Also they have had 2 cancelled games to make up. I think that must be the most ever in one season.

They are probably just trying send him a message and light a fire under his ass.
A better effort is needed, or have fun watching from the press box.

If the Oil are going to trade for Lucic it is likely going to cost Yakupov but that trade might work for both teams?

If I am Boston, I am trading him as soon as a taker shows up.

6 goals in 41 games after signing the $6 million per season multi year extension. It was an iffy contract even at his previous production.

I'd take him if the Bruins ate about $2 million though.

I'd take him if the flames eat the whole cap and give up something solid. I would even give up Glencross. Lucic is a big mean winger that is turning 25 in June. He has hit 30 goals already and certainly pre-apex

It would work for Boston that's for sure. I've always thought Lucic was a little on the overrated side.

I would to have Lucic in Calgary. Who knows why he only has six goals this year, but I don't care. Iginla had some pretty subpar (relative to his potential) years before he hit his prime too.

No way does Lucic command that kind of return.

Lucic is a beast when he's on his game but he can be lazy as all hell sometimes. Reminds me of Bourque at times in that sense.

can someone please aware me on this whole "apex" thing?

also did MacT directly state that the oilers are looking for players like Lucic? or is it all just speculation?

bit out of the loop i suppose.

Here's hoping MacT trades Yakupov and the Oilers 1st for him.

MacTavish actually specifically said "Lucic-type" then was promptly told by Lowe he can't really say stuff like that.

It's the press conferred that just keeps on giving.

Id give up Glencross in a heartbeat for Lucic.

Glencross + Pit 1st for Lucic.

Lucic-Backlund-?
Baertschi-Barkov-?

4 out 6 would be set.

Call me crazy but given contract and production I would rather keep Glencross and the 1st.

what if we kept the first, glencross for lucic?

glencross's production is great, but his play away from the puck is often times quite lazy. He could be a 30-35 goal top line winger if he tried, but there doesnt seem to be much passion from him a lot of the time. perhaps both players need a change of scenery?

If you think Glencross is lazy, you probably haven't watched many Bruins games this year. Lucic is making guys like Penner and Bourque look like a workaholics this year.

So overrated. Glencross is way cheaper and will likely outscore him going forward.

So it seems the consensus is that Lucic has rested on his laurels since signing the big contract, is that about right?
