Schedule to be released on Thursday. Excited to see when the Titans come to Seattle. Hopefully it's not in week 17 like it was a few years ago.

Clay Matthews hits the jackpot.
Quote:
Terms of the extension weren't disclosed by the team, but a source confirmed to ESPN that the extension is for five years and worth about $65 million in new money, including $31 million guaranteed. Fox Sports had earlier reported terms of the deal.
A source close to the deal told ESPN.com's Darren Rovell that Matthews will receive $22 million by the end of 2013 and $27 million in the next 12 months.

Just curious, how will the Packers be cap-wise after this and the Rodgers extension next season?

they will be OK. Likely lose Finlay though...and they already made a couple tough decisions with Woodson and Jennings.
they have a TON of young guys though...so not a lot of 2nd and 3rd contract situations.
Also, I expect the Rogers extension to get done before this year begins....and it will be mammoth as well.

I'm still sick to my stomach from that choke job in the playoffs.

Will probably do a analysis in the next iteration of the Seahawks specific thread, but the home opener should be fun against SF.
The Redskins... sorry, RGIII, has 5 primetime games.

Colts have 4 prime time games this year which is nicer than the 1 they had last year. Can't help but feel good about the schedule, I'll put on my homer glasses and say that it looks like they could go 10-6 next year no problem and maybe even as high as 12-4 (splitting with Houston, losing to Seattle, SF, and Den, other 2 potential losses are 1 against Titans and Bengals)

I am in Boston the week the Patriots play the Saints, how difficult do you think it will be to get tickets? I think single game tickets go on sale in July, but should I just head to stub hub or something?

After months of trade speculation, the New York Jets are prepared to desert Revis Island.
The Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a trade for Darrelle Revis, pending the star cornerback passing a physical, according to a league source. The parameters of a contract extension for Revis with the Buccaneers are in place.
The Jets will receive multiple draft picks, including the 13th overall choice, from the Buccaneers if Revis passes his physical. The Jets already own the ninth pick, setting themselves up to add two potential impact players.
Revis is en route to Tampa, a source said, and is expected to take the physical later Sunday.
The contract isn't expected to be an issue for the Bucs, who apparently are willing to pay Revis about $15 million per year.

Bucs give Revis 6 years-96 million, none of it is guaranteed. Jets get the Bucs 2013 first and conditional 4th next year, based on twitter reports.

Better QB draft class next year right? Appropriate move for them.
