Can we please stop looking for OOT help and hoping for Flames loses? The team needs to learn how to win and be developed in a winning atmoshere; not the losing stench that the Oilers have found themselves in.
I want the kids to be hungry and win every damn game left. I want them to train hard in the offseason chomping at the bit to get us in the playoffs next year.

Yep, ever since that 8-2 win those special 3 players have 0 points combined. Quite a few Oiler trolls also have 0 posts combined since that night. Win-win.

I want them to win too.
But I still root for the other teams to win as well.

I want them to play hard each night, put effort into every game and have the young guys contribute big. That's all i truly want for now, the only win i wanted in these last ten games were the Nucks and Oil games (obvious reasons) but now i hope they don't win another game. We need to get the highest impact player we can get this draft.
Look at Tampa, Carolina and Philly's rosters. Do we have a Giroux, Simmonds or Schenn? Do we have a Stamkos or a St. Louis? Do we have a Eric and Jordan Staal, Semin or a Skinner? No, we don't. If those teams get better players then we do when they already have top end talent it will make me sick. Those teams aren't rebuilding. We NEED to get a top end talent player from this draft. It's important for the Flames franchise. Wins are pointless at this point, the team's i want us to beat we have already played.

Fair enough but winning and losing are both habits in sports. At least a guy smarter than me thought that. You don't want losing to become a habit ever.

Ouch, big knee on knee hit on Doughty by Galliardi. At least it looked bad.

A lot of the players you listed were not drafted in the top 5.

I thought Burish was dead the way he reacted to being hit but the replay sure seemed like it wasn't too bad. Curious.

No.
Losing isn't going to "ruin" our kids.
Look at Florida, with Huberdeau. He's playing on an abysmal team, yet I'll bet any one of us would be happy to let him play for us, even after such an awful experience that has so obviously ruined him. /sarcasm
Flames need a franchise guy, and the only way it's going to happen is through the draft. Mid-round picks aren't going to cut it, we need top 3 or bust. This is the 4th consecutive year out of the playoffs, how anyone can cheer for the Flames to win, now that they are mathematically eliminated and the potential reward for losing is the top 3 draft pick this team has always lacked, is beyond my comprehension.
It's 6 games, cheer for losses, have a blast watching the draft, and we can all cheer for a winning tradition next season. I'm just thankful they pulled this fiasco in a shortened season, on that I hope we can all agree.
