Eh, they're making a bit too excessive from a TV viewership perspective, but from a local revenue viewpoint, they'll make easy quick cash. That's why it's being done.

In unrelated stories, the NCAA has announced they will be holding 3 Rose Bowl's next year, Santa will deliver gifts every 4 months and the Olympics will now be a yearly event.
The Minnesota Vikings will be getting a new outdoor stadium in a few years, replacing the aged Metrodome, and hopefully then Minnesota will get into the mix with an outdoor game.
On a different topic, since I'm new here, how would I get someone to create a cool Hanowski signature for me?

The Flames/Canadiens game made sense. They were rivals from the past.
The Canucks/Sens game doesn't make sense. In fact, I don't think the Canucks have a historical rival do they? I think the closest thing might be the Blackhawks or the Flames. Stupid to have it in BC Place. I can't see the two left coast games working well.

I don't think the canal would be wide enough to play and NHL game of hockey on, except maybe at Dow's lake. In addition, I can't see the NHL or PA wanting anything to do with it when the sides of the rink would be large concrete walls. Adding that the ice is pretty terrible (and due to it being well below grade in a narrow channel I could see it being difficult to maintain) and that is indeed a far out fantasy
I was actually thinking last year that a Jets - Senators outdoor game would be a good one to have once the renovations at Lansdowne Park are complete (should be ready for the 2014-15 season). However, I don't think there should be more than one American game each year and a Canadian game every 3 years. As such, along with many others, I can see this wearing out pretty quickly.

Too many games for my liking. All this will do is kill off the uniqueness of having an outdoor game.
The league could have done something different by staging the All Star game in an outdoor venue.

You say "what if" like there is a chance it won't be raining.

Why since 2008? why not just say in modern era. And Montreal to the list at 2 as well.
Interesting to see 4 of 6 original team would be on that list.
Boston and Toronto should be the cities that feel shafted.

The Canucks would be better suited to play LA at Dodger Pool.

There is like a 80% chance it will be raining in Vancouver on that date.
I just don't see the atmosphere in BC place coming anywhere near the past outdoor games.

Are you serious? The fact that Minnesota has yet to host a game at TCF Bank Stadium or Target Field is absolute larceny.
