Finally caught up and watched episode 4. It was great! I was a little worried after reading bits online and people still not on board with the show. But the German episode could easily fit in to Community seasons 1 or 2.

More episodes like that, and I can start recommending the show again.

Apparently one of the next episodes is a puppet episode... Normally I'd be open to the idea but lately...

I thought it was a pretty solid episode last night.
Abed's inner monologue was pretty great and Troy had a line at the start that had me laughing hard enough that I hit rewind to watch it again. I can't seem to remember it this morning for some reason.

Last episode was pretty good. More of the 1st season feel again with the heavier focus being on characters.

Still feels like they don't know with Abed. It seems they test him in different episodes to see what people like.

I'm not sure how I feel about tonight's episode. It probably sets the stage for future episodes, but it just felt weird to me.

I feel like Jeff's character is all over the place. Last episode he finally acknowledged his past and who he is. This week he is back to the same old Winger, using people for his own purposes.

To be fair, I don't think they've kept him too consistent for...well...I can't honestly say he's been on the same page at all times since the first season. It's just more noticeable when they swing him from protagonist to villain in the span of two episodes.

But yeah, it feels like a plot advancement episode. They really didn't acknowledge Chang for the entire season so far really and needed to get the ball rolling.

I really enjoyed this week's episode. Glad they're finally advancing the Chang/Kevin plotline. Not sure it needed to be a documentary, though. The "Documentary Filmmaking: Redux" and "Pillows and Blankets" from last season were hugely improved just by using the documentary format. This one really only benefited from it by rehashing the Britta sucks at photography joke.

A lot of the scenes almost seem obvious that Chevy Chase is sometimes being filmed separately from the rest of the cast, I find that a bit grating. Just get rid of him if they can't all be in the same room together.

I suspect you may be reading too much into things there. I very much doubt that they have to film Chevy separately because they can't all be in a room together. He has already left the show, though. It's just that they filmed most of this season beforehand.

I guess so... watch the episodes from season 4 again with that in mind and tell me I'm crazy!

It looks like they shot scenes later without him after they'd changed the script.

My two cents.

You're crazy. Ok, so I only rewatched the episode with the Germans, but he's with the others for the entire episode.

That's what I'm thinking also... it just seems like there are a lot of scenes where he's not in the camera with some of the other actors, the camera just pans back and forth.

I'm not saying he's never with them, but based on all ep's from season 4 it seems like some of the camera angles isolate him from the group here and there.

Is it just me or has Alison Brie gone up like 2 bra sizes over the course of the show?

My god.
