Just watched the presser on TSN start to finish. That was a debacle of monumental proportions. Good to see someone take some heat off of our situation. Also, what is with all the dry mouth up in Edmonton? I could almost smell the old manny halitosis through my laptop.

Burke also remarked "If I had run my team into the sewer like that, I wouldn't throw a grenade at the other 29 teams and my own indirectly." Oh, the sewer in which the Coilers dwell, how sweet it must smell.

Also of note, the second round pick that Anaheim received for Dustin Penner turned out to be Justin Schultz.

The Oilers have some bad karma, in my opinion, and I don't see it going away anytime soon.

^Hahaha that reminds me:

Pretty funny seeing how well the Leafs are doing right now. Also i love how he bought up his cup rings and said that they didn't matter and yet today he used them as an indicator as to why he's a winner (lol).

The Old boys club continues in Edmonton. All they need to do is fire Kreoger and hire Dave Lumley or Kurri or Glen Anderson to coach.

What does bold mean? Hopefully selling RNH at a low for grit and depth.

Glad the Oilers have taken back the "laughing stock of the league" title from the Flames.

Until Lowemis gone that circus is going to stay the same. Can't wait for their bold moves this summer. They are going to lose one of those kids in a bad trade I think

Hopefully it's archived in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

What is really ironic, Hanowski is the exact type of player the Oilers are desperate for. Have to laugh when Hanowski steps up and pays immediate dividends for the Flames on the day when MacTavish talks about wanting bigger guys with skill.

Wow after watching the press conference I have to wonder about Lowe's mental state. Quite the rant by a guy who's had little or no success after he retired from playing.

His boasting about his rings as if they were relevant to the discussion is actually as sad as watching a punch drunk tomato can boxer screaming for respect.

The guy is a boat anchor on that organization.

Katz is a moron for letting him run the Oilers into the ground.

The sound bites that they keep playing from the presser are hilarious. Lowe sounds like a child and MacT sounded like a rookie GM.

I see the Oilers acquiring Keith Yandle in the offseason for Yakupov+Whitney and then signing:

David Clarkson
Robyn Regehr

Two gritty guys and Yandle will give them that #1 dman

Actually taking steps to improve their team other than getting the top draft pick every year is very un-Oiler like.

Whitney is a UFA.

Plus, with Hall and Eberle's ELCs over and them making 6 million next season the Oilers don't have as much cap space as you'd think. They'll have some to play with, but RNH and Schultz will need new contracts the season after that. They won't be able to throw around too much cash without screwing themselves over.
