The leniency on Baertschi is actually kind of funny.

That's embellishment at its finest.

It's because we're losing, unlike the last 2 games.

Yeah.. that happens when fans place a player on a pedestal. Can't really blame us. ...We love you Sven!

Close your eyes and say my name and I'll take you far away. To a place where you and I can be.. without everyone to say, na na na na na na.. and I'll take you far away.

It barely grazed him, MMF. I've seen guys take it in the teeth and stay more in the game than Sven did.

Hanowski looked a little wonder struck in the first. Would like to see how he fares with a couple practices and a clear head.

I know Brodie makes his share of mistakes, but him being only 22 really intrigues me. When Giordano was 22 he was playing in his second season in the AHL.

Still had one great opportunity to score. Not a bad first period in the pros.

I've taken pucks to the teeth.

Pucks to the neck/throat are worse.

A sharp quick hit to the throat is scary.

Not bad, though. Robbed by Backstrom after a wicked snap shot. Coulda had his first goal in the first period.

Hartley, I want to see:

Sven Backs Stemper
Glenny Maxwell Hanowski
Cammy Horak Hudler
grinder1 grinder2 Cervenka

... unless you'd rather win the game...
