Something that's started to amaze me is how bad you really have to be to finish last. It's amazing.

The Eastern Conference is pathetic. Tampa, Philly and Carolina this bad with the talent they have? Horrible. I can understand how Florida are so bad but seriously, these teams shoud be in the playoffs or at least in the hunt and the Habs should be NOWHERE near the top of the league. What a joke.

Toronto has 5 shots on goal through 2 periods against the Devils... that must be near a record.

Seriously. Wasn't this team suppose to challenge for last before the season started when they had Iginla, Bouwmeester, a good Giordano, a healthy Tanguay and a best player not in the NHL Cervenka coming over?
Now with Iginla and Bouwmeester gone, Tanguay injured, Cervenka a bust (I kinda blame Hartley), Giordano playing like crap most of the year, and Kiprusoff being outright terrible and they aren't guaranteed a top 5 pick yet? How bad can these other teams be?

You have to be a special level of BAD to have a season like Florida has had. It's sad.

Habs claw one back. 4-3 to Philly now.
Entertaining if nothing else.

After so much parity before the lockout, this season is really about some really good teams and some equally bad teams.

We really could use a guy like Hartnell. Big, gritty but skilled as well. Protects his linemates but actually has some hands to play hockey. At least Hanowski is going for a similar vibe with his hairstyle.

It really is, i'm surprised people don't throw parties and such for getting the first overall.

NHL.com says Philly just had a 4-1 PP. Now the Habs have a 6-4 PP, come on Philly, get that EN goal!

It makes what the Oilers did three years in a row truly impressive.

I was just watching that boxscore wondering what on earth was going on. Thought it was something wrong on my end first.

That game is certainly crazy and it is 5-3 now. Five goals in the second period so far. The game is on RDS.
The other game on national television has the Stars at Blackhawks. The game is on NBCSN and TSN. The Stars need to win this as they are just two points back of the final two playoff spots. The Blackhawks just need a combination of three points gained or lost by Anaheim to lock first place in the western conference. Chicago leads 1-0 after one period.
