Default OOT - April 15 - 7 games

Philadelphia up early against the Habs, Simmonds banking it in off a defender

Reimer weathering a storm of pucks from New Jersey, 0-0 after 1.

Ottawa and Boston PPD due to that horrific business at the marathon. WTF, terrorists. Not cool.

Ryan White kicked out of the game for a clear head shot. That'll be a couple game suspension at least. And probably a benching for the rest of the year. Meanwhile, Philly will only get a one minute powerplay out of the deal because they took an instigator + the idiotic instigating while wearing a visor rule.

What rule is that? New CBA or something?

No, its been around for a long time. Iggy had a couple years ago, and Bourque got it in 2008/2009.

No, it's a few years old now. But if you get tagged with an instigator penalty, you get an extra unsportsmanlike conduct penalty if you wear a visor. Theory being that the slight risk of broken fingers is more important than the risk of losing sight in an eye.

I haven't seen too many instigator penalties lately... The league has really chilled out since the wild days of my youth!

Best results for our Mackinnon fans:

Nashville to beat Vancouver (who isn't cheering for that one anyway)

Philly to beat Montreal (looking good so far)

New Jersey to beat Toronto — though I kind of wish Marty Brodeur would retire with 666 wins. That is so metal.

Hopefully this signifies the swift decline of the stupid Habs. That Gallagher kid is such a little shart (not that I would mind him on my team).

And oh crud, they score.

I don't care if we get Mackinnon anymore. Any one of Drouin, Bakrov, Lindholm or Monahan would make me happy. Although i would love to see some insurance for us in the standing so go teams listed above by FlameZilla.

Nashville not doing us any favours by sucking. Seeing Vancouver lose would make my night.

Nashville will be bottom 3 by seasons end.

Of all the bottom feeders they have by far the hardest schedule. It also doesn't help that they are probably the worst of the bottom feeders as well. At least Tampa, Carolina, Colorado, etc. have some talent on their team.

Worst case scenario tonight if we win & Philly lose is we leapfrog 4 teams and sit in 24th place.

Minnesota are on worse form than us (3-6-1 in their last 10) so I could see the kids winning this one for us.

Good lord Nashville. What a piece of crap franchise that is a constant thorn in our sides.

All these last few years we are trying to make the playoffs, and they somehow manage to snag a playoff spot while we don't.

Now that the Flames are in the running for a top pick, they do the opposite, pull out an epic losing streak and are looking to steal a top five pick from us.

F'n jagoffs.

Instigator rule is stupid, but I don't really got a problem with the visor part. If you're going to start a fight while wearing a visor, take off your helmet and don't be a bitch.

Easy to act tough when picking a fight knowing anyone who tries to hit you breaks their hand instead of your face.

Don't forget about the Oilers. Gotta be favourites to tank badly the rest of the season. Maybe the rest of the decade...
