I remember, when 9/11 went down, my reaction was, "Well, I've had it with humanity."
But I was wrong. I don't know what's going to be revealed to be behind all of this mayhem. One human insect or a poisonous mass of broken sociopaths.
But here's what I DO know. If it's one person or a HUNDRED people, that number is not even a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the population on this planet. You watch the videos of the carnage and there are people running TOWARDS the destruction to help out. (Thanks FAKE Gallery founder and owner Paul Kozlowski for pointing this out to me). This is a giant planet and we're lucky to live on it but there are prices and penalties incurred for the daily miracle of existence. One of them is, every once in awhile, the wiring of a tiny sliver of the species gets snarled and they're pointed towards darkness.
But the vast majority stands against that darkness and, like white blood cells attacking a virus, they dilute and weaken and eventually wash away the evil doers and, more importantly, the damage they wreak. This is beyond religion or creed or nation. We would not be here if humanity were inherently evil. We'd have eaten ourselves alive long ago.
So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety misogyny, hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think, "The good outnumber you, and we always will."
Really Kirsten Fleming? You get on CBC to talk about the blasts, and your first thought is to use it as a promotional vehicle for the Scotiabank Calgary Marathon? I'm half tempted to switch banks for that alone!
F this world. What a senseless act of violence during a race that promotes unity and friendship among all humans. My thoughts and prayers go out to all involved
I can only hope that there is a special place in hell for those that are responsible.

The comments are disgusting from teenage idiots making disgraceful puns and jokes "going out with a bang, etc." to evil men bickering and blaming the Muslims, Jews, government, etc.
When I read things like this, I really wish my monitor was a magical portal that would transport my fist through my screen, into theirs and punch them several times right in the middle of their face......

Whoever invents that technology is going to be the next APPL

So there's no death penalty in Massachusetts, so if they find this person(s) is there any way they can reenact it for this case specifically? Or would that be out of the question?
There is no wrong point for reflection. And as far as i know there has been no proof that the bomber was Muslim. It still could end up being some type of westboro type nut.
I do not see any evidence to point that one is more likely than another.
I'm not jumping to any conclusions, but the fact that this occurred on Patriots' Day (a holiday celebrating the opening battle of the Revolutionary War) points to domestic terrorism. The Waco assault also took place on Patriots' Day.
Having said that, the reports are starting to sound like this may not have been domestic.

Isn't reflection easier when you have facts to use.

Who cares where this nut job was from. I'm not going to apologize if another Muslim did this the same way I'm not going to apologize for what another Flames fan does.
Apologizing on behalf of someone else's actions is not constructive to anything.
And I don't think Muslims have been quiet. The last Friday prayer I was at the Imam spent 30 minutes bashing the "Muslim" terrorists and calling them fake Muslims and that they were shameful and didn't represent what being a Muslim is about.
Of course no news cameras were around to cover that or nobody mentions we are standing up against these fools. That doesn't sell papers.

But can we at least agree the action of any single Canucks fan, represents the fan base as a whole?
Because it does.
