No, it wasn't. There are reports of a third explosion, relax.

I'm not sure where the joke was?

That's straight up qualifying . . . . . however charities populate a large part of it with their own teams of runners and you can even buy a charity bib for about $3,250 to get yourself in.

Tons of the field finish over five and six hours.

EDIT: Average finish time in Boston is about 3:50. So the explosions coincidentally occurred pretty much in the middle of the race. Avg. finish time in NYC is 4:28 and Chicago is 4:40.

Huh? Boston PD found unexploded devices, which they would have detonated with a controlled explosion.

Heard that someone I know was injured in the blast. No idea of their condition. Got separated with another group of friends while he was carted away bleeding all over.

Ratchet down the indignation, it wasn't a joke or conspiracy theory. Sheesh.

My bad, watching the news and they didn't say anything about a third explosion, so I assumed it didn't happen.

I'm not sure but if I find anything I'll send it over to you. Hope everything is okay.

Pretty sure it wasn't.

Pretty sure he was saying that the Boston PD found an unexploded bomb, and set it off safely. Hence a controlled blast.

Call the Consulate General at (617) 247-5100 or 1-800-387-3124 with your dad's name.

I hope your family is safe.

I doubt there is anything publicly available yet, but I am assuming you're Canadian (the handle makes me think Milwaukee...) so the Canadian embassy/consolate in Washington or Boston (if there is one there) might be a good place to start.

While I agree, it's a lot easier to say that than it is to live it. I have to get on a subway tonight, or walk through high profile target areas, to get home. I'm not going to pretend that I'm not a little bit terrified about that.
