I'm not good with numbers but starting to notice a pattern here. Good thing Katz can't.
I have no idea how 2005-06 breaks any kind of rebuilding streak for the Oilers. This year will amrk the 11th straight season where they have finished no better than 3rd in the division - And in the last 10 seasons, they have had only one season in which they actually finished as high as 3rd.
They haven't finished higher than 6th in the conference since 1991.

Actually, feeling out Oilernation right now and they are pissed. Stunned that KLowe survived and both MacT and Howson were given any more power. They are crossing their fingers hoping this is just an interim thing and that they go after a legit winner in the offseason.

What he was basically saying is that the "customers" that attend games are far more important than those who only watch on TV. Simply the most unbelievable thing have ever heard a team president utter....he literally just told the vast majority of Oiler fans that they dont matter compared to those who can afford to purchase tickets. Well yeah, it's all the Flames fault. Their young kids from the farm completely humiliated the Oilers on home ice in their most important game of the season, causing management to have a break from reality and promote possibly the one guy in the organization expected to do a worse job than Tambellini.
i think the oilers would have been better off moving MacT to the role of coach. I think he'd be able to persuade the all-talent kinds to play with some resolve and passion.
Bringing in a person who was fired just a few years ago to be a GM (role he's never had) sounds awesome to a flames fan.
