Who the #### knows with this team, should get a better read by next year. All I know is that they're more entertaining to watch.

As much as the "new" team is giving encouraging results I want to see if they can keep it up for a few months next season. Hartley could be the right guy for this rebuild if his positive attitude is contributing to player development, which is one this organization has been lacking.

Depends on whether Ramo and/or Berra are as good as management thinks they are.

Realistically, if Flames do this draft well and the current prospects progress well, they could be back three seasons from now. I would be pleasantly surprised if they managed to make it in two years, although if they were in the hunt near season's end that's fairly probable. Lots of ifs though.

I'd say there is no chance for 13/14.

If things go REALLY well I'd say the odds are 50/50 for 14/15. Anything less than near perfect drafting and development and those odds drop to nearly zero.

15/16 should be the target in my opinion.

By 15/16, LA will still probably be the best team in our new division. SJ should be in a rebuild themselves, but behind ours. Anaheim could be good... but they are more of a budget team so likely playoff good but not running away with the division good. Edmonton should be in year 2 of their third rebuild attempt and likely at the bottom of the division. Vancouver is probably trying to patch up their aging line up and make one more push for the playoffs before the Sedins ride off into the sunset. Phoenix (or where ever they are) is a bit of wildcard, but probably not a top team for budget reasons if nothing else. Seems like we should be able to grab the 3 spot in the division or one of the wildcard spots at least.

14/15 depending on how we draft this year, and what we do with all of the open payroll money.

Before Edmonton.

Hopefully not next year. I want this team to grow slowly and have a couple years of good draft picks. In 2016/2017 would be my guess as to when they can actually make the playoffs and not "just make it" but hit their stride in the playoffs

"Hoping" to miss the playoffs to get a high draft pick is oiler thinking.

It's our reality, I'd much rather get a few good picks and set ourselves up for the future rather than try to do it through UFA.

I guess that's where we differ,I never hope for our team to be losers.

Nobody hopes for their team to suck, but if we're to become a legitimate contender it's the most common and successful route.
