I saw a girl doing it the other day too. I was going 110 on the 100km/h Stoney. She was riding my ass and I was not letting her by. As I checked the rear view, I saw her constantly checking her phone. I braked to a full stop in the fast lane of Stoney (obviously not the smartest idea), got out of the car and screamed at her to put her efin phone away. I know I scared the crap out of her but didn't care at all.
A few days before that (it's been a busy week) I was almost through a playground zone when I saw the car behind me catch up to me very quickly, clearly not doing 30km/h. Again, slammed the breaks. Jumped out and walked back to him. Asked if he knew he blew through a playground school and then chewed him out because he still had his phone IN his hand even as I approached the car.
I'm a hypocrite, because I drive fast sometimes, and even check my phone if I'm at a red light, but for some reason, and I don't know why, I go nuts when I see someone texting while driving.

Although you admitted it wasnt a smart idea, I'll reinforce the fact that stopping completely on a freeway, in the fast lane, is not only really stupid but incredibly dangerous. To you, her and all the other drivers on the road. I get that tailgating and texting while driving is dumb already, but somebody have some common sense!
And for the other situation, you already noticed the driver in the playground zone wasn't paying attention so you go ahead and slam on your breaks? Yikes. That's not vigilante justice, that's a total lapse in judgement.

Wow, not what I expected this thread to be at all.
I was expecting a little more I beat someone with a bat for doing something horrible and a little less passive aggressive driving stories.
what's next, this guy had an illegal stick in beer league so I tricked him into getting kicked out of the faceoff circle.

Waiting at the bus stop once this late teens pos kid rolls up on a beater bike, hops off the back and lets it crash to the middle of the sidewalk, does the tough guy walk/spit in front of everyone and waits for the bus acting like a tough guy. Other people at the stop saw, felt uncomfortable and did nothing. As the minutes tick by I realize he's just going to abandon the bike where it fell in the middle of the sidewalk and get on the bus. His whole attitude and the fact everyone was thinking the same thing but nobody did anything really started to make me fume. As the bus comes round the corner and pulls up I finally snap and tell him to picking the ####ing bike up. After about 2 seconds of something approaching attitude he realizes I'm not messing around and I basically marched him over to the bike, made him pick it up and stand it neatly against the wall and told him to have some respect for the neighbourhood and the people who live there. Then we had a pretty awkward bus ride for 10 mins until he gets off. Ha. It kills me to see someone intimidate others and act like a pos and nobody says or does anything. This was one of those instances where you just had to do something. Not quite Charles Bronson but you have to start somewhere.

You should have picked up his bike rolled it over to a dumpster and tossed it in.
then rubbed his nose in his spit while wacking him on the back of the head with a rolled up newspaper while yelling Bad Dog over and over again.

What I hate is when someone is holding the door and people don't thank them. I always make sure, with a loud voice, "YOU'RE WELCOME!" after they have made it through the door. Even if I'm not the one holding the door.

I was in Reno one time and got cut off by some dick driver. I ended up beside him at a light so I pulled out my gun and killed him. I stayed around just to watch him die. Johnny Cash wrote a song about it.

I killed the last one that tried to pawn off store bought as homemade.

I don't know, if somebody paid me off with the permium brand double stuffed oreos, I would throw some pain and suffering in for free.
But nothing trumps warm home made cookies.

A friend of mine and his wife, driving back from Ontario, were staying in this hotel room and were having trouble sleeping because the guy in the adjoining room would not turn his tv down. So my friend got his electric razor and held it up against the door, separating the two rooms, and turned it on. The resultant noise sounded like a machine gun, and the tv was turned off immediatlely.

Ok, but here's a real vigalante story.
My brother was younger and driving on Deerfoot when a car cut him off so stupidly he fingered him at around Southland going north. The guy continues to tail him and was about a foot away from his bumper driving recklessly. My brother was younger and with his girlfriend. He didn't wanna do anything but this guy kept following him. So he called me up and told me this guy would not stop following him. I instructed him to get off at Peigan Trail and drive to the Wendy's and if he keeps following you ill be there.
So I rush over to the Wendy's and wait there. A couple minutes later my brother pulls in with this guy in hot pursuit behind him. Before my brother can fully stop the guy jumps out and punches and smashes my brothers side window. I jump out with my handy bat and threaten to take his head off if he doesn't leave. He proceeds to get in his jacked up truck but not before I return the favor and smash his windshield and side window.

All three of you endangered everyone else around you, everyone on the roads, and yourselves more, than the original incident.
Especially Jonduke, if you actually did that on a freeway, you should be criminally prosecuted and have your licensed suspended for what you did. That is roadrage d-bag 101. Also there is a good chance that you likely committed some non traffic related crime like uttering threats. Why? All because someone was texting on their phone, and may or may not have maybe but probably not affected you in some way? You are not the Police, and even a police officer wouldn't do something so stupid. They have lights and sirens to pull people off the road for a reason. I am going to forward this to my buddy who is a cop, and see what he thinks. Maybe I am wrong, but I am pretty sure what you did is like a major criminal deal.

I carry one of these in both of my cars, all aluminum 4D Cell mag lights:
Handy if you need it for flashlighty stuff, but an awesome weapon of oppurtunity if you ever feel threatened by some road rager. In fact this was suggested by my same Police buddy as they are more lethal than a baseball bat, but there is nothing the police can do about you carrying a 16 inch long flashlight in your car. Plus on the right night, if you have the LED version, and get the right humidity conditions, you can have epic 500 foot long light saber sessions with it.

Wow man, this is some serious stuff. Texting and driving is wrong and speeding is wrong, but the things you admitted to are way worse and make you sound like a dangerous guy. Definitly criminal acts on your part. Ask any cop, the stuff you were doing would at least be very serious traffic infractions and at worst would have you behind bars.
You sound like a bad guy.
