I was also pretty happy with what I saw from Max. I thought if that if anything his speed and skating skills were the highlight for me. Particularly because he was playing out of position on the wing.

I'm very interested to see him play centre tomorrow night in Denver.

I think the Flames win that one by a couple. I know both teams are on the tank to improve their draft positions but I believe our group shows more pride than theirs and wins going away.

Not a bad video, but is it just me or do the videos the Flames put out seem to have more and more propagandish style to them? I mean partly it's propably because Hartley goes out of his way to try and be positive, but still.

I'm not totally against putting a pretty girl to make all those positive "human interest stories" and trying to "focus on the positives". No point in wallowing in misery all the time. Still, I'm not completely comfortable with that style either.

I hear you, but the they do fall more under the PR realm than the journalism realm. It's to be expected.

If I want to read something negative about the Flames, I'll go to CBC, TSN, The Sun, etc.

Very happy with his game last night and looking forward to his next game in Colorado. If he keeps doing what he is doing then he should be fine. Look foward to him as a regular next year.

As far as Kristin reporting, it is what it is. She works for the Flames, why would she be negative?

We have three reporters for the canucks, Kenwood does the in game serious hockey crap and Dawn and the other chick (sorry can't remember her name right now) do the the fluff stuff. It's about promoting the team more so than actual journalism. I love Kristin, think she is great.

This kid is a stud and should be on the team next year. He's good defensively and plays the game the right way.

There was that play where Brodie jumped up into the play and he noticed that and covered for him. I know that sounds simple but all season we've witnessed that turn into a 2 on 1 because the forward doesn't cover for the pinching defencemen.

I can handle losing as long as these kids are getting a shot.

I have yet to see him play can due to being busy traveling can anyone give an assessment on how he's played at the NHL so far? From what I've read he has been a solid NHL worthy defensive player, should do really well for his confidence.

I find it hard to believe just how well he is playing. This guy produced good scoring chances all night long. The tools and talent are definitely there. I am hoping he can maintain this level of intensity.

Missed the game last night but just caught the highlight pack and Max seemed to be present in every clip. Great to see out there, and definitely glad to see the Flames starting the auditioning early. I'd love to see Max start 3rd line C here next year with how he's played so far.

The kid has the desire & the motor, plus he has a year experience in the AHL. Last night was his best game so far with the Flames. If he shows some consistency I think he's a lock for the team next year.

Last night's game he was over 20 minutes in ice time and was selected 3rd star. Hartley obviously likes what he's getting from Reinhart as he's playing him in all situations, including the last minute of the 3rd period.

Had a lot of really good offensive looks, too. I think we've got an NHL player here, folks.

Really like how he plays, just a matter of time before it all comes together for him I think. Even if he's not picking up much in the way of points he is involved and very noticeable out there.

The Coyotes game was the first chance I had to see him since he's been called up and I really liked what I saw from him.

He's still raw of course but all the tools are there, most importantly the hockey sense and competitiveness. He's also a bit bigger than I thought he was and doesn't shy away from contact.

I'm very curious to see how he handles playing center next game. Go Max!

I thought Max was the best player in red last night.

The kid more than anyone on the team is a jolt of life into an otherwise sedentary team. I think he's thriving on playing with Glenny and plays a great two-way game for a rookie. Almost had some goals yesterday too which was nice.

But something has to be done about his similarity to Ryan Smyth looks. I think Hanowski needs to beat a beard out of him if he's going for the long-hair/mullet look.

If Max can play like he has in training camp this summer, i see no reason why he would not be on the team.

I hope Feaster does not go out and pick up a couple of UFA's, leaving no spot for Max no matter if he plays well. Feaster in the past has said he will make room if a rookie or young player plays well, but then finds out trades are hard to make and has to send the 2 way contract down.

Max looks to be one of those guys that will be a better NHL then a minor league player. He has all the tools to be a key piece moving forward. He works hard along the boards which this team lacks big time. Just a smart all around player.

Have always liked the way he plays. I believe he can be a Risebrough / Yelle type player that does everything right, wins battles, and always competes. The perfect third line centre.

Where's everybody who trashed the Flames for selecting this kid over Kabanov?
