Footsoldiers have that mentality. Generals plan to win wars, not battles. Everybody is entitled to cheer for the team their own way but this crapping on people hoping for a decent pick like they are losers or something is not only inappropriate but it's dumb as well.

I'd prefer MacKinnon's wheels.

yup so let's bring up our young guys and instantly instill a losing attitude...that should do wonders.

That's fine as long as you don't change your stance at the draft. My guess is that 90% of the CP that hate posters cheering on tanking, will be complaining if Calgary is drafting 5th and out of the chance for Jones, MacKinnon, and Drouin.

Like the effort and creativity by Sven there. Almost got it to Reinhart.
One of these kids are gonna get a goal this game.

The players are foot soldiers. Thus, they should be going as hard as they can regardless. If you're cheering for a loss you're cheering for sub-par effort.
How does cheering for a loss not make you a loser?
I understand peoples want to improve the team long term and I'm obviously one of them. But I think people greatly exaggerate the difference between players drafted at 18 years old. Very rarely is there a sure fire franchise player. In my mind theres just as much chance that a 4th round pick becomes a star as a 1st round pick.

I'd rather see our young guys go out and kick ass even if meant we finish ninth. Play like a man.

I can't and won't speak for others, but I will happily agree to this. You can quote me if you desire.

He still sucks balls though. Id rather not have him on the team next year, and give another young d a shot or at the very worst go out and sign somebody.

If they were playing good hockey and winning maybe it would be easier to take but watching them play like crap and still get wins is the worst of both worlds.
