#1 ranked Quinnipiac beat Yale 3 times during the season- out scored 13-3 in those losses; another big hurdle to jump over for the Bulldogs

I think hanowski will be signed, but I wouldn't expect him to see him join the Flames unless they use it as a ploy to lure in LeBlanc who is a free to sign now since his NCAA season is finished.

He's Flames property until mid August I believe. If the Flames can't sign him, they will trade him.
Though Hanowski would be really stupid to refuse to sign with the opportunity he has to play here.
|
Is that the same for Gaudreau then? He went straight to BC after being drafted didn't he?

I think he did imply that Gaudreau would have received a taste of the NHL. He said something like "that is what we are doing with Reinhart"... I think he was implying a cup of coffee in the NHL. I might have interpreted wrong myself, but that is what it sounded like to me.
As for Hanowski - I would be shocked if he got a cup of coffee in the NHL right now. I think Street deserves another look. Aliu could probably be worth another look.
Another guy who I think totally deserves a cup of coffee in the NHL is Bancks. I don't think he will ever be anything more than a temporary injury call-up as a career for him, but that kid needs to be rewarded. Not like the Flames are challenging for wins. I think it would be a totally wonderful thing to do as an organization and get that guy in for a game. Can't think of anyone else who would be a bigger 'feel good' story, and a statement to the rest of the prospects saying "You play hard every night, you will get rewarded."

Street looks absolutely useless at the NHL level.

He played two games at the NHL level and didn't look out of place.

Couple people on twitter have Hanowski as signed.
Guy Flaming @TPS_Guy 8m “ @NickOliver27: Congrats to stallmate @Ski_Ski74 on signing with Calgary." -according to his teammate, Hanowski has signed with @NHLFlames

With Hanowski signing so quickly I wonder what the hold up with Ramage is, sure hope the Flames sign him.

If I had a choice I'd rather see Ramage signed than Hanowski.

Its still unconfirmed of course, but if his teammate said it, then I would be somewhat inclined to believe it...

Obviously. Regardless, Ramage should be signed by now.

Still - could you not be pleased with a positive development instead of trying to find some unrelated negative thing to focus on?
They signed the guy (if true) within days of being able to.
Seems like something to be happy about.

Have seen Ramage a lot over the years and feel he could be a really good player with top 4 potential. Would be a really really tough loss to not get him signed. Not a good sign at all that he isn't signed yet.

Hours. He played his final NCAA game last night and couldn't be signed before that.

Unrelated to this specific event, but not unrelated in overall scheme.
As for positive, it's obviously better than losing him to UFA and the disastrous optics involved in that, but I'm not so excited about Ben Hanowski. Agostino I'm more interested in.

This thread isn't about Agostino or Ramage. Does every good thing have to be tinged with bad?
