Benfica score

Newcastle are out

Spurs have the only German on the field so Pelanties wouldn't be the worst thing...

what a great game. The Spurs-Basel series has been extremely exciting, I have enjoyed it a lot.

I hope the Spurs go through on penalties, I actually want them to win the cup.

Dawson has been an absolute beast tonight

shirt muddy can barely see the white, he's made 2-3 game saving tackles in extra time and 1 huge block

Such a terrible way to lose.

Should have never been close though and never been close to penalties.

English teams and penalties ... that will never be a love story. I don't get it.

injuries just caught up them

Bale, Lennon, Sandro would have all played a huge role today

and I love AVB but Hugo needed to play, I think his quickness as a sweeper stops both Basel goals

no excuses not to finish 3rd or 4th now

Chelsea have at least 3 extra games with EL and FA cup Semi's

Spurs don't play again for 10 days, and should only have 1 more midweek game this year (make up game with Chelsea)

Adebayor should be ashamed of that penalty.

These are going to be some great semi-finals

Except for the possibility of and all German or all Spanish final. That would suck.

But, as we know, Dortmund can take Real, can Bayern take on Barca?

Best outcome possible for BVB.

Dortmund has already beaten Real. I don't think they could beat Barca and they haven't beaten Bayern this season.

Piszczek can put on a show for the team that wanted him last year.

I'm fully expecting Dortmund to upset RM and for Bayern to lose to Barca.

I think if ever Barca could be beaten then its now. The downside is that I'd take Bayern over Barca in a one-game final, but over two legs Barca somehow always seems to wriggle through.

It will be interesting to see Real vs. Dortmund. Neither of the two teams seem to "love" possession and I'm excited to see how the games play out.

FC Bayern will have to compete with a team that loves to own the ball even more than they do themselves. The other week, while discussing football with a Barca-fan, I claimed that FC Bayern currently is the best team in Europe/the world right now. I guess it's up for them to prove it now.
