My Masters anticipation is at a fever pitch. I love this tunnament.

And I am already curious about how this kid ends up doing.

Anyone know what the pricing is for 3D with shaw on 301? Doesn't appear to be free this year, but I can't find any info...

I have a friend who is attending this year. I was going to ask him to bring me back a pimiento cheese sandwich, but I'm not sure it'll keep.

My brother is attending the first 3 days of the tournament. He couldn't get me an invite from one his clients (yeah I disowned him!) so i'll probably end up with a hat or a tee shirt.

Got an update from my brother..... Now i'm jealous! Lucky SOB!

Tiger playing a practice round with Fred Couples.

Ernie Els, etc.

Most played in the par three tournament...

Saw Palmer, Nicklaus and Player playing as a threesome.

Mickleson, Langer, Zoeller,
and on and on and on. Up close and interacting with the crowd. Families, kids, grandkids, parents. You name it.

The par three tournament is the coolest.

More tomorrow...

I have the entire weekend off this year to enjoy the Masters for the first time in years. I can't wait to nod in and out of consciousness, and hear that sweet CBS elevator bumper music between commercials. If any sport has benefitted huge from HDTV, it is golf. It is simply amazing now.

I wish I could be as relaxed on the course, as I am when I watch people on the course.

I am cheering for Tiger. He is a flawed man personally, but so far above and beyond everyone else when he is on his game, you can't help but cheer for him, simply as a golfer.

So busy at work that I can't "work from home" today and tomorrow. This tournament is the sporting event that excites me the most. Really looking forward to zoning out and watching it all this weekend.

FYI for anyone interested in the 3D option on shaw-

edit/update: Masters in 3D is free again this year with Shaw. Channel 301 at 2pm each day. I am not sure if it is an alternate feed from the main broadcast or if the feed is in mpeg4 formatting (meaning it will only work on newer PVRs). I guess we will find out at 2pm.

Did Weir actually qualify?

His 5 year exemption must be over by now.

No he didn't actually qualify. Once you win the master you have a lifetime exemption.

And since it's the first day of the Masters, meet David Lynn. By about 5pm tomorrow he'll once again be unknown.

Nice final score of 68 by Rickie Fowler, putting him 2 back. Not bad considering he doubled the 1st and 10th.
