Good news for the Sens, they could have used him over these past few games.

He looked remarkably agile doing figure 8's from forward to backward around the two pucks. Can't believe he's even on skates already let alone moving like that on his injury. Hope he's back sooner than expected!

Had a similar injury a few years ago, not surprised at this at all, mine took maybe 2-3 months till I was 100% as well, and I had no doctors on me all the time like pro athletes have helping me along the way...

Wow...that is impressive. I don'lt think I ever found it if it was severed or just damaged though, which one was it? Regardless, it's an impressive comeback.

Great news, a truly special player. One of the best skaters I've ever seen.

As much as I dislike Cooke this was an obvious accident. Great to see him recovering faster than probably expected. The league is better when guys like Karlsson are playing.

I am very happy to see a young man having a speedy recovery, for Karlsson.
I am stunned to see a diver having a speedy recovery, for Kesler.

I love Karlsson.. I saw him while he played in Jokerit (SM-Liiga), and god damn he's dominant with his skating, and he's not afraid to take risks, what a truly great player.
Fun fact: He won the SM-Liiga defense men scoring with 35 points in 30 games (or 34pts), while other guys played 60 games.

Article on Karlsson being back with the team.
Quote:
Erik Karlsson returned to theA ice for the first time with the Ottawa Senators on Friday since suffering a devastating Achilles' tendon tear in February.
Karlsson was spotted skating in public last week, but this was the first time he took part in a regular practice session with teammates.
Senators general manager Bryan Murray had said in February that the Swedish blue-liner was effectively done for the season after suffering a 70 per cent tear of the tendon.
As recently as Thursday, Murray told Hockey Night in Canada Radio on SiriusXM that Karlsson practising with the team was "down the road."

What A MASSIVE boost to the blue line for the sens. Cowan back and Karlsson. Could make a real nice push to a cup finals.

Accident or not, Cooke needs to make a better effort to keep his skates on the ice. It seems most of his injuring of other players is a result of him making contact with other players with one or both of his skates in the air.
I'm really glad to hear that Karlsson is recovering ahead of schedule. I actually bought a couple pairs of those kevlar socks after this happened (they were on sale for half off).

Hopefully the league brings in their forensic investigators to ensure this recovery is legit.
