The "C" doesn't necessarily have to reflect talent level. Its more about finding a guy who will give a full effort and encourage others to do the same.

I don't think Brodie is ready for it yet, but I don't really see anybody else on this roster who is either. Giordano would probably be the best choice, I guess.

Brodie has gotten better every game. In the last two years, when the team has lost 9-0 and 8-2, he's a collective minus 1. That's while playing 26 minutes in the Boston game. I qualified my statement by saying if we absolutely must name a captain, I'd support the idea of giving it to Brodie over anyone else in the roster. Because he's the only player who is consistently getting better. Now I don't know exactly what that means, but i do know your leaders need to be guys that are consistently trying to become more than they currently are.

I know we suck, but no need to underrate the guys we do have.

I think Cervenka is worth another shake. He's had a lot to deal with this season. Injuries, newborn baby, culture shift, new language, new ice size, the list goes on and on. 1st and 2nd line ice should go to Backlund and our draft pick (assuming we get Barkov or MacKinnon) and I'd rather see Reinhart or Horak to round out the top 3. If we end up with a non-centre like Jones, Drouin or slip out of the top 4 and get somebody worse who will need another year in junior then I'm OK to bring him back.

No team can be this bad. They make us look like the '95 devils in the d-zone in comparison. It upsets me how bad they are. It's pathetic to watch.

That was an awful play by the Avs defencemen and a weak effort from bad goalie.

Thee was nothing nice about it and an easy clearance for non-Avs teams.

Only til the end of this season. The thought of MacKinnon or Jones (despite the fact that I know literally nothing about either prospect, other than the fact that everyone's talking about them) being drafted by the Flames is just too awesome. Well I don't know what game moon is watching but outside of a couple brain farts in the second,that was a pretty fun period to watch. Couple goals, good back and forth and a decent pace.

I don't think it should be talent level either but a second year guy that has been alright and not shown anything in ice to deserve it not likely a good choice.

Maybe he is amazing in the room but guys with his age/experience usually aren't captains unless exceptional for a reason.
