12 thru 7 innings today, shows how crappy Colon is without his steroids. As Bob Ueker would say in Major League....they do have several foul tips though.

My poor Astro's are terrible. The worst part is they may have already had their high point with the win in the first game.

Both reigning cy young winners put up an 8 era yesterday. Tough day to be a Rays or Jays fan. Lets hope both guys can bounce back

The Cardinals put up a 9 spot (in one inning!) on Matt Cain yesterday too.

Justin Verlander wasn't exactly stellar either yesterday. Not a banner day for guys who had strong seasons last year. These can't wait for their teams to play the Astros.

Although I have to admit the first box score I'm looking at right now is the Astro's one to see just how many times they've struck out.

Crazy Sunday:

Cain [9 runs] was not alone among aces Sunday. Opening Day starters David Price of the Rays, Cole Hamels of the Phillies and R.A. Dickey of the Blue Jays each allowed eight runs. The Nationals' Stephen Strasbourg was hammered for six. Even the Tigers' Justin Verlander lost after the Yankees got to him for a three-run inning.

In other news...my Padres suck. My God I don't know if I want to complain about pitching or hitting. Typical though, Padres always crawl out the starting gate of the season.

So, this new Mariners jumbotron is impressive. I'm hoping the closer walls give the Mariners another dimension this season. Morse seems to be helping things along...

2 thru one inning tonight in Seattle. 6 of Houston's 9 hitters are below .200

I'm not sure how much success they will have this year, but the Mariners are going to be a powerhouse in the future if all their prospects are as good as people are ranking them.

Zunino is going to be up with the big club sooner than later the way Montero is playing. Just tearing it up in AAA right now.

Exciting team to watch. They are building something special in Seattle.

You might want to pick a different catch phrase. That one seems doomed to deliver underwhelming results.

The best part was how the texas announcer stated just off the corner once he saw the pitch track. When in reality the pitch track showed the ball wasn't even close

Even Joe Nathan couldn't believe it.

I'll take it though

Rays lose again. They need to stop allowing runs with two outs
