Default Renegades roster for dispersal draft...

A few decent players on the roster....Who do you think the Stamps would be interested in?
You would have to think that Joseph and Armstead go 1, 2 to Hamilton and Winnipeg. Looks like we would pick 8th? Is there anyone worthwhile with that pick?

eWhere do the Stamps need help right now? My guess (and certainly Calf or other would know better) is maybe on the o-line?

what a joke.....this league really needs to look at what its doing. They want to expand and they are shutting teams down and having dispersal drafts. I have always been a big fan of the cfl but this is just rediculous, the league should at least run the team this season and if nothing can be done then move the franchise.

Hopefully a guy like Khan is still there but I doubt that he will be.

I think they go with a Canadian guy to improve our depth there or one of the DB's.

They actually made a GOOD decision to suspend that team. The league doesnt have the capital to run a team, and that shouldnt be its mandate anyways.
As to relocating them...to exactly where? Theres no other city in Canada with a stadium.

I feel sorry for the fans that are in Ottawa. Could you imagine if this would've happened to the Stamps? Although I was a kid at the time, I guess this almost happened to our football team. SOS! I miss Rick Johnson and Larry Kuharich .

Could they have moved the team to Halifax? I believe they had a pretty good turn out when they played that exhibition game there in Halifax. They could do what Montreal does - play on a college campus. Looks pretty crazy.

I agree with moon, pick up a NI DB for depth. Do we have any NI's back there?

Montreal was lucky enough to have a college stadium that could (barely) be big enough to support a CFL team. The 'stadium' in Halifax isn't really much bigger seatingwise than, say the grandstand at the track in Foothills Athletic Park. They have to shoehorn temp seats in everywhere to get 10K in there for the exhibition game, so no way they could use it for a CFL team.

it would be great if Kahn was still around, but reaquiring Legault and Pilon would be fine too. I say we grab Yo Murphy just so we can say Yo alot!

Calgary will be picking fourth
http://www.cfl.ca/index.php?module=n...splay&nid=7746

Hamilton will likely pick Armstead, Winnipeg Korey Banks, Saskatchewan Joseph...who for Calgary, I'm not too sure.

I'd like to upgrade our CDN talent...a OLineman like Ib Kahn to be groomed to take over for an aging Jay McNiel. Or Marc Pilon, or a big FB like Cory Hathaway...but some of those guys could be available in later rounds.

There's also a few guys on the defensive side like Hebert and Ellis that I like.

If I had my druthers, getting Brad Banks would be my pick. He's shown more promise than Gesser/Wimprine, and behind DannyMac and Hank, he'll learn a lot and be ready to go when DM and HB move on.

My 1st Round Mock:
1. Hamilton: Korey Banks-DB
2. Winnipeg: Brad Banks-QB
3. Saskatchewan: Kerry Joseph-QB
4. Calgary: Ibby Kahn-OG
5. Toronto: Jason Armstead-WR
6. B.C: Anthonu Collier-DE
7. Montreal: Val St.Germain-OL
8. Edmonton: Kai Ellis-DE/LB

Armstead could very easily go higher but I'm thinking the draft is gonna be based more on filling needs and taking salary into account rather then just taking the BPA. That's why Armstead goes lower then he probably should and Hebert doesn't even get drafted first round because of his stupid contract.

Well they just conducted the draft. It went like this:

1. Saskatchewan - QB - Kerry Joseph
2. Winnipeg - OL - Ibrahim Khan
3. Saskatchewan - WR -Jason Armstead
4. Calgary - LB - Cam Yeow
5. Winnipeg - OL - Val St.Germain
6. BC - DB - Korey Banks
7. Montreal - DE - Kai Ellis
8. Edmonton - DE- Anthony Collier

Saskatchewan made a trade with Hamilton to get that #1 pick.
Heading to Hamilton is import running back Corey Holmes, non-import safety Scott Gordon and the Roughriders' first-round pick in the 2007 Canadian college draft.

What on earth did Hamilton want with Holmes? They already signed Ottawa's running back and with last years #1 back it would seem they are overloaded at that position...very strange.

Actually, Collier's a good pickup. Woodcock is the Mike Peca of the CFL.

I'm kinda disappointed in the Stamp's pickups, but I can respect that they didn't want to breach the cap before it came in.

I would've loved to see K. Banks or Hathaway in R&W, but c'est la vis.

The league running this team this year would have been a disaster and would probably kill the team for sure. They only had 2000 season tickets and made virtually no signings. They would have been lucky to win a couple of games.

Move the franchsie? Where exactly? There is no other city with a suitable stadium to support a CFL team. Suspending the team was the only option the league had. The mistake the CFL made was letting Gleibermans run the team in the first place.

I knew that was coming even before I typed it. I was waiting to see which poster was gonna be the first to say it. Not surprised which one it was...

You are just bitter Brad, from last year's playoffs
