From listening to his interviews and reading what was quoted, Yakupov is only scratching the surface. Besides his immense talent, this kid is grounded, loyal and very respectful of his teammates and coaches. He is willing to learn all facets of the game and become a better player and help his team.

Anthony Mantha: No idea why this guy isn't ranked higher. He's a monster, a dominating center int he QMJHL. Posted 50 goals this season. This would be a guy I would target with the ~18th overall. One of the older guys in the draft but he already has the NHL frame (6'4" 220lbs).
Kerby Rychel: Kind of overlooked as he plays on a terrible Windsor team. A top OHL goal scorer, has all-around ability and plays a physical game. Reportedly has developed into quite a leader for the Spitfires. Would love to have him ~29th overall, if he drops that far.

You bet! And MacKinnon. Next year looks exciting.

Where are you seeing that Mantha is 6'4, 220lbs?
Everywhere I'm looking says he's 6'3, 200lbs.

Everything you ever come to say here are premature statements and notions.
The irony in this post couldn't be thicker.

If we keep all our picks I could see us trading the Pittsburgh pick to get a pair of 2nds or a 2nd and a 3rd type of thing.

Who cares. We all know why your back posting here again as you seem to do in increments. Your team dismantles the Flames 2 in a row after the Flames traded the face of the franchise and their top D. Prior to that though the Flames feaste on the Oil for 5 seasons, while being a mediocre team. But you go ahead and Champion a couple of meaningless wins. Enjoy 9th spot.

I love how you just pretend not to understand the blatant hypocrisy and ignorance on your part that I point out and revert to insults and oblivious dismissals.

That lacks some love Jack. I was partaking in the frank discussions and yet you choose to find an angle.

Why would anyone want to impersonate such a sad soul? Sorry not me, but you can crawl back to your little hole anytime and continue your circle jerk with all your other little Oiler trolls.

Why fans of other teams come onto another teams forum just to ruffle some feathers I'll never understand, pathetic.

this thread is about the draft and the picks the Flames may make, not about the 9th place (if lucky) Oilers
I think whoever is #1 takes Seth, unlikely that is the Flames

I think the flames will trade at least one of their firsts. I am already really excited for this draft it is going to be an interesting offseason in cowtown

Flames should draft a potential first line centre as their first pick. Then our 2nd pick will be a defenseman since we might have Baertschi and even Johnny Gaudreau next season. I am hoping to see D John Ramage also and maybe F Bill Arnold.

Tell me what is your reason for coming here so often? Do you have such an inferiority complex that you feel the need to come in here and make your digs at us so you can feel like a man? Seriously buddy, why the obsession? Because your team has a better record than ours for the 1st time in 7 years, you finally feel like you can come in here a thump your chest? Wow, great job. Maybe you should come back when your team has actually accomplished something remotely tangible, as they have yet to even surpass the success (using the term loosely) that the Flames have accomplished the last few years.

Unfortunately Johnny has all but committed to returning to BC next year. I feel that due to the fact that he is a sophomore and the other 2 nominated for the Hobey Baker are seniors it will probably undeservingly go to one of them since Johnny will still have 2 more seasons to win one. If he does win though, that might slightly increase his chances of going pro. I agree with getting Ramage to sign his ELC and drafting Mackinnon or Drouin with our pick. It'd be nice to get a top flight Dman like Jones, but we have been starved for a true #1 Center for 20+ years and our current defensive prospects are stronger than our Centers.

I have no problem with him going back for another year, add on some extra weight (which he definitely needs to do). However I hope it's his last, then spend some time in the AHL if needed.
