I suspect that one or two years from now, neither Glencross nor Girodano will still be considered "untouchable".
This is a very rational point going forward. When taking into account the current incarnation of this franchise to call anyone untouchable (GlenX etc.) is laughable (other than the very few rookies/ prospects with upside that are currently in the system).

Baertschi and Brodie are no brainers. No reason to trade them.

Giordano and Glencross really aren't the type of players that should be untouchable. The both play hard and are nearing 30. The Flames through any reasonable projection won't be contending for at least a couple of seasons, probably more. How good of players will 33 year old Glencross and Giordano be? They are secondary pieces now so there's potential that they'll be fringe pieces then.

It doesn't make much sense to have them as untouchable, unless Glencross just would not agree to be traded but untouchable seems like the wrong word.

My only untouchables are Sven, Brodie, and Gaudreau... simply because we wouldn't get their true value in return in a trade.

I would be open to trading Giordano to Philly for their first round pick + if they just miss the playoffs this year (~12th pick).

Except Luongo isn't close to untradeable. There are clearly teams willing to take on the contract, but the Canucks want a good return too. If the Canucks put Luongo on the market for a 2nd rounder, he'd be on the Leafs right now.
