You can tell just by looking at them they have different builds. MacKinnon has more of a Crosby/Duchene build, RNH is a lot lankier.

Not that it's a huge diff, but I thought he was 5'11".

If memory serves, there is only 1 maybe 2 proto workhorses under 6'2". Crosby and ?

Good teams with smaller elite centers tend to have a solid, less skilled #2.

I've seen reports saying he's 6'0, also been to quite a few Mooseheads games this year, he definatly looks taller then 5'11, no way Drouin is 5'11 either.

RNH is a good example of high skill, but not what I'd consider work-horse. I'm thinking more like Stall, Toews & Getzlaf.

Honestly, I'm going on what HDTV is telling me from the other side of the country. Nothing against either of them.

It's just something we have not had in almost 20 years, and except for a few of those years in that time, we have not been all that great.

Mckinnon's body type is similar to Spezza IMO. Lacking a couple inches, but similar height/weight ratio.

If they do that then this rebuild will last 10 years.

In regards to MacKinnon and his size issues:

Crosby is 200lbs which is only 15lbs heavier than MacKinnon, and a lot of that weight was added during the first couple of off-seasons for Crosby. His team-mates commented about how his legs grew to tree trunks over one off-season.

I think if MacKinnon got the right training he could be a solid 200lbs like Crosby.

Also, Giroux is only 175 lbs and is never really pushed around.

Lastly, bringing out some good 'ol Orange Julius rumblings, but my friend's friend is friends with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and he is only about 155lbs give or take, they just say he is 175+. The kid only looks about 150 lbs anyway. Just like it is blatantly obvious Janko is only <170 lbs, you can definitely tell when he plays.

I wouldn't knock any of the high-end draft picks for their size, no midgets and everyone has a good weight to them.

Nichushkin is fine with the Blues' pick...but no team picking top 4 will risk such an important pick on a Russian.

I will say that Colorado is a prime example of a team where coaching makes all the difference.

Give that team a good coach and there 6th in the conference.

Watch them draft Jones, fire Sacco, hire Ruff and make the playoffs next season. I bet they are tanking on purpose just to get the #1 D-man they need. How a team with three young centers capable of scoring 60+ points a season, the ROTY last season and great FA acquisition in Parenteau are behind us is really strange. You'd think these young guys would play their hearts out with something to prove.

That's my feeling as well. I believe management fully knew the team quit on Sacco months ago and rather than fire him in hopes of turning around the season they decided to ride it out in hopes of getting Jones. I also believe part of the reason they didn't come to terms with ROR was part of their plan on tanking as they only signed him when forced to. They really want this kid bad which is fine with me as I would rather the Flames pick one of the two forwards.

Isn't Jones a huge Avs fan as well?

Duchene, O'Rielly, Landeskog, Johnson, Jones are phenomenal building blocks
