KLM is having another flash sale to central Europe FYI. They even dropped the peak months down to around $1400. Air France also appears to be matching for the summer months. Both are offering free stopovers in Paris. KLM also offering free stopovers in Amsterdam.

EDIT: I got this for YVR, but I'm assuming it's Canada-wide.

There can certainly be occasions where the price displayed by Google Flights Explorer isn't entirely accurate. It's using data from ITA, and there's no set of airfare data that's as complete or accurate as ITA, but there's often discrepancies as the price data isn't 100% real-time from the airlines.
The inbound flights look like they're Air Canada.

I bet if you went to Orbitz you could get the $387 price.

I saw that June 5th date and got excited but then noticed where you were going . My son is going to Frankfurt on that day and returning on the 10th and I can't find a deal for less than like 1300. Hoping to find some seat sale or somebody with miles they have to use up or a winning lotto ticket lol.

Calgary to Maui | $388 roundtrip after taxes! | through winter 2014

http://www.yycdeals.com/calgary-to-m...gh-winter-2014

United Airlines looks to have dropped a significant number of their fares between Calgary and Maui, undercutting their closest competition by around 45%. Looking back through the archives, I believe these are the cheapest fares to Maui ever seen from Calgary.

What's really interesting is that they've dropped not only fall 2013 dates, but winter 2013/2014 dates as well.

A lot of them seem to be fairly decent routes, with 1 stopover each way, typically in Los Angeles or San Francisco.

I am going to Maui for whale season!

If anyone knows of any hotel or condo deals for a couple and a 6 month old baby please pass them along!

Tried finding flights but 13 hours of travel time doesn't really interest me, with a 1.5 year old. Damn, I was excited. Thanks nonetheless!

Also, United charges for baggage fees so that is another $40 per person ($20 each way). More if you are bringing children and all of their crap.

I am hoping when July rolls around that the flights for November are between 500-600 for direct flights.

Just booked Maui. $379PP inc tax from Nov 5-13 (over remembrance day).
Baggage per checked bag each way on United.
We fly YYC to SFO to LAX to OGG - not great, but each layover is around an hour.

Thanks for the heads up Chris!

Calgary to New York, Miami, Los Angeles | $288 roundtrip after taxes !

http://yycdeals.com/calgary-to-new-y...ip-after-taxes

I'm not sure what exactly is going on with airfares from Calgary on United Airlines the past few days, but I'm loving it! Yesterday it was Maui, and today it's New York, Miami, and Los Angeles that are down to crazy price levels of sub-$300 roundtrip after taxes.

The easiest way to see which date combinations are cheap between now and September 2013 is by using Google Flights Explorer. In the 'To' box, enter 'United States'.

There also now appears to be fares to Maui for as cheap as $320 CAD, but all of the ones I've seen at that price level look to involve 2 stops each way.

Nice deals on United lately - I was able to book Maui X 2 in September for $340 CAD all in each! Awesome deal.

Some tips/comments from those who have been having trouble using the United website to book...

Quote:
For those that had some issues with the United website. I, too, had some problems initially. I was on a desktop Mac using Google Chrome as my browser. It also booted me out just at the payment stage. I went to my laptop Mac and was able to book through and pay without issues. Don't know what the glitch was. If you are having problems, I suggest using the United.ca website and trying a different web browser.
Quote:
We finally did it. It was tough to get it booked. We had the same problem as another user and couldn't book on our Mac. We finally tried on our PC after seeing Ken's note and got our trip booked
Quote:
I had same issue, what you have to do is go to the United home page, make an account, and search from the home page. it then takes into account your account address and the price will show up with a CAD behind it.
Took me 30 minutes to figure it out.

Quote:
Just booked for 4 of us in February 2014 and had to call United customer support as it kept on giving me errors. Had to be on hold for over an hour while they tried to confirm the flights and honor the price I got online. They admitted their website has a glitch to it and alot of errors. I was on-hold for so long because while they can honor the prices for the United flights they had to call Air Canada to get the prices for those legs of the trip.

Another option is to try the same dates on Orbitz or Expedia.

I'd like to spend a month in Hungary/Croatia this summer. The problem is I can't go for that long without bringing work along.

Anyone know what the best option is for internet access when traveling in Europe? I need an option that is more time based as opposed to data based (I tend to have large files to send, so I dont want to pay by the KB).

Has anyone bought internet access with one of those SIM card phones, and then used the internet access as a hotspot?

I really wish there was some sort of global internet card I could but that would work from anywhere.

Hey,

I'm looking at booking from YEG --> NRT around June 22
NRT --> TPE June 29
TPE --> YEG July 19.

The lowest I can find is roughly $1800 through Kayak. Do you have any lower flight options I can look at or web searches that look at multi city? Thanks!!
