That's a D. Seriously, given the Flames organizational backup (scouts etc), I think pretty much anyone who follows hockey could have done as well as Feaster here. And I'm not exaggerating at all.

I also don't see how "should have moved more" is debatable at all. We have a roster stock full of players that are utterly worthless for us within their contracts and will only go down in value now that Bouwmeester and Iginla are gone, and all he could move was Comeau. Tanguay's value will go down, as will Cammalleris and Stempniaks and Stajans and pretty much everybodys. That is bad. He couldn't find any takers for Sarich or Babchuk, that is bad, especially since Feaster signed both those guys.

Say what you will of Darryl Sutter, but he would always get something for players he wanted to move.

Feaster got the bare minimum done this trade deadline, like a seatwarmer for an actual GM.

Ummm...why did all the deals have to happen yesterday? Is there not a full summer ahead that deals can get done in? In fact at a time when there will be major cap implications for many teams, waiting to see who sits where may end up being the most prudent move of all.

And no...those players you listed will not lose "value" because this team is bad. GM's dont base that stuff on how any particular team perfoms in any given year, they base it on the body of work of players over the last few years, age, contract staus etc etc.

Typo, meant 22.

Do you disagree with the assertion that this is not a rebuild?

Just can't see how Feaster stays on?

The speech he gave yesterday in the 1st intermission, was the exact same speech he gave when he took over as GM. The only difference was that he added the word " Apex".

Feaster when he took over said they would get younger, faster, bigger ect.. and then proceded to ice a team where the top players were older and the rest of the team was smaller and softer.

When Feaster took over he also said that the "clauses contracts" had to stop. He then proceeds to hand them out to players that are press box fodder. I like Glencross more than most, but no 2b/3a should have a full NMC. I don't care how much Glencross loves Alberta and that he took a bit of a discount, no player like him should get a NMC.

While the mandate of playoffs was hard to reach, Feaster accepted it and proceded to ice one of the worst teams in the history of the flames.

Feaster admitted that he judged the team wrong, but that only came to light because he was forced into it. Just before asking Iggy, JBO and Kipper to waive or leave he was trying to get ROR for one last push at 8th. Even then he still had no grasp on the team. That one player would not have made a difference.

Not sure how some on CP think he deserves another chance?
