I see your point but I can't think of a single time Jackman has gone out and stood up for his goalie/teammates this year to send a message. His game has really deteriorated over the past 2 seasons and if he isn't going to do the dirty work, we have no use for him. McGrattan has made much more of an impact in all three zones and is a much better fighter.

The only positive with this team's play is I can now go to sleep after the 1st period as it is almost game over after that lol.
Good night!

Really glad you shared this.
Now, never cheer for Calgary again.

That's what I'm really looking forward to.
Right now though, I think all the moves (and non-moves, in Kipper's case) have taken a pretty heavy emotional toll on the team - they feel like they've been given up on.
Which, of course, it precisely what has happened and what needed to happen.
Next year should be a very welcome fresh start. Hopefully the fans prove their worth and support the young guys and the team through the rough patches at the start.

They'll be a force once they land a top-pairing 2-way guy on the blueline to round out Smid, Petry, Schultz, and Klefbom. Until then, I expect they'll be the perennial bubble squad alternating between 1st round disappointments as a low seed or marginally missing the postseason.
Kinda like Nashville all these years. Just my take.

Is it sad when your best line are used to playing 4 minutes a game?

I've had the opportunity to watch him play live in Kelowna a few times over the past few years, he's solid.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I hope the Canucks absolutely destroy the Oilers tomorrow.
