Would love to see that. Less darts available to throw at the draft dart board, but you're standing closer to the board when you throw them.

I think Feaster introduces a new buzz word everytime he wants to distract some of the children from the reality of the situation at hand.

I like how some posters tell other posters to 'relax" or not "freak out". I think the posters that are "freaking out" have every right to do so.

Some of us have seen the writing on the wall for the last couple of years and had to hear " relax, don't freak out" only to have their worst dreams for this organization come true.

I'm not going to freak out now, but am i worried going into UFA, that the team will spend to get back in to the playoffs? Yes i am, and I hope they don't.

Feaster expanding on the matter in the interview does turn the panic button down a bit.

Can we come up with a list of Pre-Apex Players (PrAP) that are likely to be bought out?

Um am I the only one who doesn't really know what he means by "post-apex" players?

Remember, in the context of not taking "post-apex players". To be clear, I believe that means, players that aren't old and past their prime, for those freaking out that the making the playoffs comment.
Post-apex is a broad definition.

What do you consider Alex Tanguay? I'd say he's post-apex, but he's still quite productive so the Flames could easily disagree and say he's still in his apex.

Oh boy. "Intellectual honesty" comment.

(Paraphrasing) Basically being fooled by the streak they went on right after Feaster became interim GM and a little the following year... including Brent. Was continued to be fooled by the new players, coaches, etc., coming in this year.

Seems that only recently the veil was lifted on Feaster so he could see clearly. Feaster talked to Murray Edwards that after the 7-8th win in a row at home, Feaster told Edwards that this streak was a mirage.

$10 says this is the new intellectual honesty/meritocracy.

What does Apex mean?
What does post mean?

Put those two words together.

Talking about the home winning streak, Murray asked was this the real team or a mirage. Feaster said he thought it was a mirage, convinced about it after that 3 game road trip.

Why is everyone slamming Feaster for this???

The most reasonable explanation is Glencross has made it clear he's NOT willing to waive his NTC... so end of story... why would Feaster waste his time listening to offers?

- We need to nail the top and middle of the first round stone cold. Must be all in agreement on player taken.

- It isn't good enough to get close - Feaster looking back at the past few years and today. I was betting on a mirage (fools gold). It's difficult to go to ownership and say we need to trade Iginla. Ownership backed him on that

I would imagine that it's players that are on the backside of their careers. Apex - the highest point, the vertex - http://www.thefreedictionary.com/apex.

Tanguay, being 33 (34 in November), I would say, yes, he is "post-apex". But Feaster didn't define it, so this is just what I think.

I was really hoping he'd be fired this year
