If no picks are involved, I think it's a good deal for both sides. Pominville is a good player who was hard pressed to live up to his cap hit. Buffalo needed to change their core and Minny needed another offensive weapon to add to their lineup.

Minny's pick is likely going to be a late first. It seems a lot of Minny fans believe Larsson is NHL ready and can develop into a 2nd line center, while Hackett's upside is questionable but I think he's ready to be an NHL backup.
