Sarich is just a hell of a guy and I wish him well wherever he goes. Always plays his heart out even though he's lost a step over the years. One of those guys you'd rather have on your side than the other side in the playoffs.

Sad to see how a guy like Sarich has been here. Benched early by Sutter in favour of Hannan who was awful, then when given ice time, showed why management should extend him. Then scratched by the new coach, when a glaring weakness is grit and the PK (early this season)
He has been solid as the stay at home guy with Gio, Brodie, Bouw when called upon, and allows pretty darn few GA, which is what stay at home guys do... and all you hear is that he is slow.
He is a guy who leaves it all on the ice and part of me does not want to see him go, but would like to see him get the respect he won't get here and be that physical depth guy in the playoffs.

You haven't mentioned the penchant Sarich has for fighting either.
One of my favorite Sarich hit/fight combos.

Gonna miss Sarich, one of the last Flames D that would bump into someone else on purpose. I'm gonna miss the way he would circle back slightly baiting the opposing forward to put his head down and move up ice, then Sarich would circle back and absolutely level the guy. He would angle in such a weird way you'd think he's backing off, but then at the last second he'd be in your face and putting you through the boards. Gonna miss that.

I'd rather keep the guy because I don't think he is going to return much in a trade. He definitely hasn't been given a fair shake by the last two coaches here, maybe even Keenan (scratched him to get rid of his ironman streak)
Golfed with Sarich and his wife once, he was a very friendly and funny guy. Loved his play on the ice and he definitely deserved more ice in Calgary. Good solider and a total pro, hope he gets traded to a contender and goes on a long run. Looking forward to a few more highlight reel hits and fights from Sarich!

I think he would be a solid addition to any team that plans on making a deep playoff run as he's a solid injury fill-in and you know he's going to play hard and punish the opposition if the opportunity arises.
Still love that hit he put on Hall late last season. Who knows when we will see another hit like that from a Flames blueliner.
Would be sad to see him go. One of my favorite Flames from the last couple years and always a guy you could count on to give 100% every night. It has really frustrated me how they have used him the last couple years. No way should he ever be sitting instead of Smith or Butler.
