The one and only purpose of the farm team is to develop players for the Calgary Flames.

the debate comes with the question "what is the best way to develop players"?

I personally believe the best way to develop youngsters is in a winning environment, I think winning is a learned behavior.

Because of that belief I like the Heat bringing in guys on AHL contracts to fill out the roster and hopefully help them to a Calder Cup.

So now that the Flames are rebuilding, do you think Wilson is in the plans for the team in the future?

They mutually tore up the contract a long time ago. I would say there's a 100% chance that he's not in their plans.
