And end up with the Habs, Jets, Leafs, or even the Sens going further in the playoffs? Yah, no thanks.

Either way, signing Jagr was a great call by Dallas and Calgary should do something similar next year with their cap space. Sign a guy for big money for one year, give him play time, and ship him out at the deadline if you are not in playoff contention. If he helps you make the playoffs, even better
Good moves from Niewendyk recently, who I thought was a pretty below-average GM

We have a five point head start, a brutal schedule and they still have Benn, Eriksson, Lehtonen. No way do they dip below us.

Real intellectual honesty considering they're "only" 3 points out of 8th.

Bruins won't confirm Jagr deal until it is officially done given what happened with Iginla. Asking price was high. #TRADETRACKER

And Jagr's quest to play in every single Eastern Conference team continues.
The guy is like David Carradine in Kung-Fu. Just mystically wandering from town to town, solving crimes with his Super Ninja abilities.

for sure, Calgary should bring some guys in to help the young guys, give us something to watch, and ship out at the deadline...the prefect crime

Sounds like 2nd round pick for Jagr according to Kypreos.
Prospects yet to be names, my guess Khokolachev and Caron.

Confirming # Stars Jagr to #Bruins is for 2nd pick and 2 prospects. Pick changes depending on how Bruins do. #TradeTracker

I would rather the sens win the cup and us get a better draft pick. I hate the leafs, nucks, jets and oilers. I don't like the Habs and Sens. I want a better draft pick.

Sounds like the same or similar that was offered for Iginla. Dallas wisely waits until many other teams have acted to maximize the return.

Jagr is almost as productive as Iggy at his age anyway, not a great skater as said, but neither is Iginla.
Jagr is leading the Stars in points, and has more goals that Iginla. So really we shouldn't be too surprised if he nets a similar return.
Although anything significantly better would be a real pisser.

I don't think it is similar at all with it being a second rounder. It also depends on the prospects. 1st rounders are huge, especially in a draft like this one.
