Voted for Kodos
|
2nd round pick from the Canucks would project to be about 50-55th overall.

I can't see how Boston lets another team snag Jagr, at this point.

Connauton is a decent prospect, probably rank him a little better than Cundari but they still didn't give up a top prospect.
I have a feeling that what you will see moving foward is you either get the 1st or the top prospect at the trade deadline, gone are the days where teams will give up both.

I would say decent value for Roy, Connauton was Van's best (only) D prospect.
Looks like first rounders are tough to come by these days.

nope
Corrado is much higher thought of by the Canucks
Connauton I was always interested in because if he ever put the defensive side together he has offensive talent, but he's 23 and it hasn't happened yet, nice lottery ticket type thing for Dallas, but a very easy price to pay along with a 2nd for Roy

Vancouver has no prospects so I assume it wasn't to difficult to complete the deal.

I thought this was a sellers market, pretty average deal for the Stars...
Temper expectations for any potential Cammi / Tanguay trades, they can't be worth much more than Roy

Pretty fair trade. Roy has his warts but Connauton is basically AHL fodder at this point. I'd be hesitant to even use the word "prospect" on him as he's a 23 year old who struggles defensively in the AHL.
