it's amazing how bad positionally they are... it's easy to be embarrassed by speed when everyone is chasing the puck...
really enjoying the creativity of the "back czech" line

It was a crap play by the defense for sure, but a weak shot that should have been saved.

It would be great. Should have kept him in the first place although the team would have likely been in the 8th/9th spot right now and buyers at the deadline. Hartley is the worst coach behind the Flames bench since Greg Gilbert and at this point I think Gilbert was a better coach.

I don't know anyone thought he'd be good for this team. He is an awful coach.

Everything was Brent Sutter's fault, playing an offensive uptempo game was the key to success.

The Oilers have got to be the flukiest damn team in the league. From winning draft lotteries to getting totally outchanced in games but still coming out ahead. I hate that stinking team. Please, for the love of all that is holy, let them finish 9 or 10th!!

Yeah that play he drew up to have Gio back away was coaching ineptitude

People will see what Jbo provided this team. This is going to be a rough last few weeks

Id rather Sutter than Hartley. Unfortunately Sutter wouldhave been better to teach the kids than these overpaid pukes. Its just a few years to late.

Totally! and the term Defense is just as archaic right?
You do realize that today if your defense sucks your GAA is basically fail right? So when I say Calgary Flames has some atrocious defense that should in some way affect our goaltenders performance?
Just saying if your defense is #@!$ your goaltender isn't going to be Jesus and bail your team out every year

I don't think you can play him either. Either his mind is somewhere else, or he's quit on the team. Either way, he shouldn't be on the ice.

Hartley's defensive system is really the only suspect part of his coaching. He's always been good offensively and on special teams. Just terrible goaltending this year too. When a waiver pick up is your best goaltender...you're going to be in trouble. Plus, these players are ridiculous turnover junkies...it's like they can't get enough of them.

He didn't draw that up I'm sure but that's because he likely hasn't drawn up any defensive plays this season. This team has never, ever played as poor defensively as this even in the young guns seasons. I don't know how he keeps his job.

Feaster:
-Talked to Bouw during LA trip. Bouw was open to be traded. Provided extensive list of teams.
-6.6mil cap was an issue when dealing with teams. "The time was now".
-Worked to do trade in such a way that Bouw's consecutive iron man streak remains.
-Feaster happy to get back 1st round pick; "important as we try to restock the cupboards".
-Talked about scout debate about Ramo and Berra...yadda yadda yadda.
-On plethora of goaltending prospects: Berra/Ramo are older/more experienced. Gillies: feel really good about his progress. "You can never have too much help in net".
-Feaster says they still need to build on the blue line; building from the net out.
-14mil of cap space; "Very important". Will provide Flames with many options moving into Free Agency.
-Flames initiated trade talk with Bouwmeester. Bouw and his agent very easy to work with; twice as many teams provided on his list than Iggy.
-Flames now have 48 contracts. Contract swap with Bouw and Cundari.
-On deadline: Flames are not done. "We are open for business". Will continue to work on deals right through to April 3rd.
-Feaster on lack of success: "It's on me". "Maybe I wasn't as intellectually honest as I could have been".
Interesting interview, but a lot of the same talk.

He also said it is on him. He talked about Intellectual Honesty and how he might have not been intellectually honest the last two years. Will not make that mistake this year.
Or something along those lines.
