Good, his NHL career is coming to an end and were rebuilding anyways, might as well try and get some more picks or prospects for him.

Not at all, I'm saying we've had a borderline-playoff team that has underachieved, because Kipper's bad seasons wiped out the rest of the team's good seasons and vice versa.

On this Flames team he is opened to being hit in his crease never mind when he comes out to cut down the angles.
It is the job of the D to let him come out and make sure he can do his job without getting run over.
Would you rely on these bunch of cream puffs to protect your blindside while you are focused on a stopping a 100 mph blast that might be getting tipped????
There is no goalie in the world that would be able to be an all star with this system of defense and lack of physical protection.
Last year he had Sarich and Hannan... This year Wideman and Brodie took these minutes and responsibilty

went to high school with Macwilliam, would be pretty sweet to see him suit up for the flames, but i would hope we get a lot more in return than just him.

it's Damien Cox, he is probably th only real "journalist" with less credibility than Eklund

My guess Joe C is involved. Probably other parts to this deal if he.

Halak injured in tonight's game. Now the Blues may be in on the Kipper sweepstakes.

I say screw Toronto, let them deal for Luongo.... Let Kipper play out the year here... we can take offers after July 1 if so be it when someone can talk extension.... a 2nd rounder now is just not worth it little own a third..

As if the problem with the Calgary Flames was goaltending..... Don't trade kipper, trade the ones in front of him.

I don't think I could stomach seeing Kipper play for the dirty Leafs.
Ew.

I guess no trade will happen until after the game. I figure if Kipper starts, no trade at all. If he is backup, possible trade. If MacDonald gets pelted tonight and should be pulled, but isn't - expect a trade to be announced after the game.

2 goals on 2 shots, he's certainly padding his stats tonight.
I can't see a team who is actually trying to win games wanting him, but, if we are indeed diving for last place I think we keep him around. Be crazy not to use this asset properly.

To be fair to #34, the goals against him have been pretty monumental failures of the defence. I would have been shocked if he got either.

While before I thought the Flames would be able to get Reimer and a 1st for Kipper, I think Nonis is being truthful that he's their goaltender for the future. I don't think that future is now though. I think if this deal to the Leafs does go down, it'll be Scrivens, Gunnarsson and a 2nd. I've lost all confidence in the Flames getting a sizable return on him after this Bouwmeester deal.

So Kiprusoff, if traded, seems obvious to retain some salary, no?
Keep 750k of his salary, which means the Flames keep 2.9M in cap hit. Otherwise, even with overpaying UFA's, I can't see how they would stay above the cap without having to hold onto's Cammalleri's 6M.
And Toronto or whatever gets a nice cap relief next year.
