1st rounder could conceivably turn out to be the #1 overall pick (In 2014 anyway).

Cundari - small, undrafted defenseman. Played junior in Windsor. Mediocre numbers in the minors right now.
Berra - 26 year old goaltender from the Swiss League, is probably at his peak right now...which, playing in the Swiss League for his entire career, isn't promising.
And the first rounder isn't likely to be high, although it can be packaged.
Jay was probably the most attractive asset the Flames had, and he went for less than Iggy.
Not impressed at this "re-tool".

Cundari could be good, though we'll have to wait a while to find out. The other guy I've never heard of. More importantly, the Flames now have 3 first rounders to work with, two of which will likely be in the first fifteen.
If Cundari makes it to an NHL regular, this is fine. If they both become regulars, then then is a better than fine.

and the best part of it all is we don't have anyone to fill the gap for a guy like bouw, we are picking top 4 this year.

The first is protected?
Congratulations Jay Feaster, you've traded away a #1 defenseman for two no-name prospects and a mid-to-late first.

A lot of cap space for the Flames now with nearly $14M off the books with Iginla and Bouwmeester.

I cannot defend Feaster any longer. I have tried but this is the icing on the cake. Count me in the fire him asap camp. For god sakes, no more trades.

Ha! A full season of Jay Bouwmeester would only hurt the Blues more.
Next year might be an even higher draft pick!
Love the Jay-Bouw insurance.

LOL, smart Blues GM. Covered himself in case of the bouwmeester playoff curse.
I wish we had smart hockey management instead of the half-witted folk running the ship at the moment.

So as it sits right now we'd draft:
3rd overall
15th overall
& 30th overall
