Wow, people need to settle down.
Stop whining every chance you get. The Regehr deal that Feaster made was around 2 years ago. Butler is arguably worth a 2nd and Byron was also worth a 2nd. Then we traded a 2nd to get rid of Kotalik (maybe ownership didn't want to send him to the minors??)

RR is more valuble now since he doesn't have 2 more years of 4 million dollars on his deal

price for Jaybo is also high!

Two second rounders, love it. D-men are like gold this deadline. If Bouwmeester goes he better fetch a fortune.

That doesn't really explain why garbage Sabres Regehr got the same in return as aging Flames Regehr though.

Wow are we bad at trades. We are the fat kid with multiple snack pack puddings trading for bruised apples. And rotten pears.

The price was set by Murray for a big stay at home D.
Also we had to include a 2nd to get Kotalik off our hands. Goes to show you how bad we view assets.

The Butler trade was made before the season started, this trade happened in the final stretch of the season. LA needed a Dman because of injuries

Feaster got absolutley FLEECED!!!!! and it's now confirmed!
Get his ass out of town. Buffalo gets 3 2nd rounders and we have Chris Butler who isn't even worth a 4th rounder.

 Buh bye Feast!@

Which is why Regehr should have nver been traded at the draft. UNLESS we were actually getting a draft choice from the Sabres that weekend.

Trying to get Bad Richards..... boils the blood just thinking back to that weekend.

Any mention about Buffalo's "hands were tied" because Regehr had a NMC?

I know it's knee jerk time right after trades are made but Feaster is coming out of this really badly - basically giving Regehr away for marginal prospect, worse yet, packaging our 2nd as part of the deal and now he is worth two seconds.
lol @ Byron and Butler are worth a 2nd each.

This part is so true, and really depressing. A capable GM will still get value for a player with a NMC. It's not like Regier fleeced an idiot GM here either, he got a good deal from a good GM

What is messed up is that Regier may lose his job before Feaster

I guess Butler should fetch more since he's better right? Laughable.
This is another slap in the face and if there was any doubt we got raped in our regehr trade, today should have removed all of it.

Comparing trade deadline deals to draft day deals isn't apples to apples. Not that I think the Butler/Byron for RR/Kotalik/2nd was good value, but not ad bad as some are making it out to be.

While Sutter isn't technically LA's GM, it is very likely that Sutter was behind this, and only he would overpay for the pylon Regehr has become. Trading him to Sutter unfortunately was not an option for Feaster at the time.
