I think that a new face is what this team needs and fact we haven't had one/don't have one has been a problem.

Probably will be the draft pick/Sven going forward.

Cart before the horse. The strength of Feaster's position is limited by the number of teams Kipper would report to.

Either way, you're still not getting a first or a top prospect.

I do not trust Feaster to give us a return that CP will smile at.

I have learned to lower my expectations when it comes to this man and his ability to ass-rape other teams.

He is only dealing from a position of strength if the other team is bringing Kipper in to be the starter. Kipper is not going to allow a trade so he sits on the bench.

If the forum held up when Iggy was traded it should be fine once Kipper and possibly Bouw and others are dealt.

Never said they would.

Mid-prospect + 2nd is my expectation. That return is a stretch if you only have one team in on it, but with competing offers, you should net that return.

Toronto would probably prefer to pay him 5.8 and have his cap hit be 1.5. They don't need to care that much about real dollars and cap space more valuable to them.

Have you looked at Kipper's numbers and his cap hit? Anyone expecting a big return is just setting themselves up for disappointment.

I suspect we may see most of our moves tomorrow instead since we play Wednesday night. We have a few extra defencemen hanging around to fill the gaps, but no forwards (right?).

Whether not at the same level as they were or not, you take away the franchise's best player, and the franchise's best goalie, both class acts, likely both HOF'ers, well respected, humble, guys that poured their heart and soul into this city and franchise for over a decade, it hurts.

Kirpusoff never got the full credit he deserved while here, pulling the spectacular wins, but many many many wins that relied on making the tough save that on other goalies, when they go in you'd say "good shot". Playing drama free in net, hard enough to come by in the league these days, and outside of two injuries in a decade, reliable as a rock, also a rarity that Flames fans may not be so lucky to see for another decade, just like after Vernon left.

It also means that there better be 5 or 6 other guys at least that are gone before 1pm Wednesday for this dismantling to be worth it.

For those fans who've had financial interest in the Flames for the past decade and have had the privledge of watching these two guys win games on their own for the Flames and represent the best of the franchise, there is no sense in holding onto some of the total losers that are left on the roster.

Prospects Feaster/Weisbrod may be interested in and I think may be included in a potential return for Kipper:

Matt Finn
Joe Colbourne
Ben Scrivens
Kenny Ryan
Andrew MacWilliam

This is exactly what Sven doesn't need right now, he's not skilled enough to just step into something like that and if he has the pressure to be the Face right away that has disaster written all over it. Guys like Gio and one of Tangs/Cammy should be the face for a few years. If we pick a Mackinnon or a Barkov or a Jones it's different, being a face of the franchise is part of being a top 3 pick which the Flames could easily have this year.

Don't know who else but the Leafs would even want Kipper at this point. Phoenix maybe?

Dude its a joke. Sutter inherited a ticking time-bomb, I know, but its still funny in a way.

All of Kipper's numbers this year have to be viewed through the prism of playing in front of the softest NHL team ( there are a few beer league teams and women's team that may be softer) put together in the last decade.

This is the only team that basically does absolutely nothing when the goalie is run....

If Kipper is run while playing for Toronto a lot of somebodies are gonna get a beating.

No way you give this guy up for a mere third round pick.

Right? Someone hold me...
