I didn't even take one inning for the first blown call of the season.
I could see he was safe from here!

And they've overtaken the Yankees for the best all time AL record ever!

Got the feet up, Padres game starts in about a half hour. Might buy a jersey this year, debating about it. Can't afford authentics and hoping the replicas aren't cheap pieces of crap. I wish the patches were on replicas.

What do you know about Jed Gyorko? My fantasy draft ran on March 17 and I drafted Chase Headley I also ended up getting Gyorko in the 24th round, so I have held onto him. He's hit at every level, and could be useful if he gets 2B eligibility. The Headley injury has me worried though, thumb injuries really mess up hitters and Headley was crazy hot after the Allstar break last year.

I'm liking Gyorko! Was a little worried about him at 2B but seems to be okay. I'm nervous about Headley in that there are expectations he can match last year. The one I'm hoping steps up even more is Alonso.

Yahoo sports surveyed 6 of their MLB columnists and among other things, 3 of them predict that the Blue Jays will meet the Nationals in the World Series this year. One of them has Toronto winning it all.

I know these are just a handfull of 'experts' making meaningless predictions but it has been a loooong time since Toronto was considered a favourite to win the World Series by anybody who posesses a press credential. Pretty heady stuff. I can't wait for this season to unfold and see how things shape up.

This has to be the worst opening day lineup the Yankees have ever had.

Gonna jinx him here, but Darvish has a perfect game through 7 innings.

I got to wonder if they'll let him finish out the game. I can't imagine it is worth the risk to let him throw 120 pitches or more on his first outing just to throw a perfect game against a AAA team.
