Yeah, there's not a lot of captains out there that aren't getting a lot of ice time or aren't highly skilled right now. Salvador and Horcoff aren't the most skilled guys, and Jovanovski is injured but I'm going to say Callahan might be the best answer to your question.
Not because he's unskilled, but with players like Nash, Richards (at least prior to signing) and Gaborik he's far from the most skilled player on the team. And yet he goes out and gives it his all, earning his captaincy not from his talent but his work ethic and leadership. With that said, he does play a lot of minutes so far from a perfect candidate.

pretty much. I just think Ladd is the least talented of that group, but that is not a knock against him as a player or captain I think he is absolutely the right choice for the Jets because I believe he gets a ton done through determination and work ethic. Kind of like Conroy, not overly talented but his heart, effort and moderate skill helped him have a few very good seasons. I think Morrow fits that too when he was captain.
