I wonder if Boston will get desperate and make a stupid offer for Clowe or Hemsky. It would really suck to see Edmonton get a better return for Hemsky than we did for Iginla, but it could certainly happen.

The Flyers won 3-1 over the Bruins at the Wachovia Centre. The game was on NHL Network USA. I saw the highlights and Bryzgalov finally looked like he was alert all game. This is an upset as the Flyers have been stumbling most of the season.

Games that are in progress:
Carolina has a 2-1 lead midway through the second period over the Jets from the MTS Centre.

It is a scoreless tie between the Predators and Avalanche from the Pepsi Centre.

watching the Preds-Avs game - absolutely mind-numbingly dull.

The only chance the Avs have of winning is to get the 0-0 shutout and then win it in a shootout.

Likely just this game, as it's a huge day for Flames fans who have grown up with Iggy and have only ever known the Flames with Iginla. I suppose it could be different for some of CP's geezers who are old enough to have watched the Flames in the 80's/earl-mid 90's.

I've met you.

Am I a geezer? Or do I just seem to side with the geezers?

3 points for Subban so far. 27 points now in his 28 games, and this game's not over.

His agent should be fired for the brutal contract after the holdout.

He'll get his big payday eventually. But yeah, bad holdout.

I don't think Subban came out too badly because it's such a short deal. This year was largely a write off anyway because of the lockout and and he's getting almost $4M next year before he's up for renewal again. Had he signed one of the earlier offers he would've made a fair bit less cash because they weren't as backloaded and a lot of the contract value would've been lost due to the lockout.

If anything the Canadiens are going to regret not giving him a longer term deal before he really establishes himself.

Lupul and Kadri are absolutely tearing apart the Sens. Never thought Kadri would turn out to be this good
