He assists on the winner with a pass from behind the net, scores the opening goal on a nice shot...

I am kind of upset that all that remains from the Joe Nieuwendyk deal is a couple of college players and a really late first round pick.

It goes right back to Nilsson I believe.

Here's hoping that late 1st can be converted to something good.

Apparently Bartkowski misunderstood my question. My apologies to Twitter world.
So, I guess people will have to put away their pitchforks on this one. More likely though this will be ignored so the raving can continue.

Joe Nieuwendyk was a 2nd round pick and he was traded for Iggy when he was 29. Something to think about

Agostino with a goal and an assist on the OT game winner as Yale eliminates Minnesota tonight in the NCAA tournament.

Yeah.. It blows my mind how people say we only have "x"remaining from 20 years ago, especially since what we started with was a case of serious luck to begin with.

It's kind of a big deal as Yale booted out an almost sure bet for the frozen four. Maybe I am just pumping tires here but that was a pretty significant win

Agostino was the best player on the ice today....and that is saying something as the #1 ranked Minnesota have about 10 1st and 2nd rd picks. Very impressed....maybe Gaudreau will have a fellow New Jersey player to play with in a few years. Huge upset.

Well at least that is something. Conroy was asked about him a he said he has some skill and competes hard is strong on the puck but really needs to improve his skating.

Was going to post that. Trade ignited something in these players maybe?

Sure, and Iginla picked the better package in return than Feaster preferred.

I trust Pierre.
After his reaction when Calgary drafted Jankowski, I don't really care what he says.

How much college hockey do you really think McGuire watches? It's a pretty full time job to cover the NHL. Bob McKenzie said on the Jay and Dan podcast that his research for the draft is basically done by cramming for a week or two before draft day. I doubt McGuire is much different.

I have been checking Hanowski's twitter and he hasn't commented yet on the trade. He doesn't seem to update a lot, probably busy with hockey... but I would think something like this would have been a big enough deal to comment on.
