Chiarelli made himself look like a fool FFS.
It was his camp that was running full blast with the loose lips. How the hell is that Feaster's fault?
Gawdammit anyways.
Chiarelli (or someone who works for him) leaks a trade as official, when it wasn't ACTUALLY official.
Then the trade doesn't happen.
...and this is Feaster's fault?

I understand the difficulty of the Iginla trade for Feaster, but just once, I'd like to see the Flames win a trade. It seems that recently, every time there's a big trade, this organization just comes out on the bottom end of the deal.
Phaneuf, Regher, Iginla. Even the Jokinen (acquire and dispose) deals can argued as losses for the Flames.
Just once, it'd be nice to see a trade announcement where we as Flames fans can all be shocked and surprised at getting more than what we and the market perceives as "market value".

Feaster doesn't work with other GM's, his focus is the best interest of the Flames. Chiarelli doesn't have to like it.
Boston can whine as much as they want. Feaster gets ripped for not knowing all the ins and outs of the O Reilly situation, Chiarelli should get ripped for not knowing all the ins and outs of the Iginla situation. Boston reps should've kept their mouths shut until the deal was confirmed.
Why is it so many want to rip our team so quickly before the others. Boston can get bent.

It sucks because I was a Feaster supporter before the season started. I still like the draft moves he has made, I still like the Montreal trade, Hudler signing, and giving some of the young kids a chance
The RoR fiasco and this Iginla trade have soured me significantly. As an organization to outsiders we are a total joke now and I have little confidence he can make the right blockbuster trade moving forward. I guess we will see what he does with Bouw but I am worried.
Just wish we would have brought in JD when the potential was there and let him rebuild this thing with his own GM

This GM is now the BIGGEST blundering idiot this franchise has EVER seen.
He has not done anything to make this club better, he's made us the laughing stock of the NHL.
WE are a small talentless joke, no compete, no heart.
If we do end up with a top 3 pick you know this idiot will take some collage kid who should go in the 7th round.
BRING IN BURKE......

Yeah Reggie has been disappointing, but the perceived market value was higher than what we ended up with.
Maybe we as Flames fans should just set our expectations really really low in trades...

I agree that his draft moves have been good, but how much is that to do with Feaster or is it his scouts and AGM? I like that he listens to them, but quite honestly, i think they do it all when it comes to drafts, and he pretty much sits back.
Not only do i think GM"S get the better hand on Feaster but i think agents take him to town also.

I think many expected too much for a 35 year old UFA with a no move/no trade that really only wanted one team. So another GM would have got more out of the Pens? I doubt it, not like they needed him. The alternative was 16 meaningless games of Iggy

I think the management likes what he has been doing and I don't see him going anywhere until 2015/2016 season if we don't start seeing development of some of the prospects he has picked since he started as the GM. Give him some time to build something.
Like seeing Sven in the top 6 on a regular basis. Maybe this year's first rounder (highest pick) playing with the club on a regular basis as well. All depends on what happens in the next 5/6 days. Should be an interesting time for us fans, this is new territory for us it seems.

Every move for Feaster seems so difficult, it's like he hasn't done his homework, or hasn't researched enough. It has to be embarrassing when every single transaction goes to appeal

For years this board has been complaining about a lack centers so our GM drafts a big center with a ton of skill and gets Seiloff as well and you are complaining?!?!
Look, I am no Feaster fan, but this pick may be one of his best moves.
Time for a CP break. I can't handle this
anymore.

Fester gets his ass smacked red like a little child back on the farm by agents and other GM's.
I don't think he is seen as an equal in some GM circles.
Please tell me we don't have many more of Meehan's players here.
How I loathe that troll.

Can you back your statements some how? Why do you think he is taken to town?
And he has admitted that he has surrounded himself with a team of professionals that help him do his job. He works within a team, no GM operates on their own.
And we all know that people above him also meddle in hockey operations for the Calgary Flames. That is probably the biggest issue.

Over reacting much? His drafting record has been good.
EVER seen? Why can't most of you see that Iggy controlled this trade, not the Flames. We are lucky we got something for him and he didn't just leave at the end of the season as an UFA.
It could have been worse.

A lot will depend on his trades from here on out. Bungle the trades at the deadline and I think he's gonzo.

Look at his negotiations for re-signing some of his players:
Anton- middle of the summer, most of the UFA market is done, and he still for some reason gives Anton a 2 year , $5million contract with a clause.
Sarich - last summer gives him a clause and a 2 year $ 4 million contract.
Comeau- wanted to sign him for 2 years when up to that point he had showed nothing
Tangs- not a bad contract but to many years
Glencross- great contract, but Ken King seems to have done most of the work.
In another post i said that he works in a team, but from what i see what he brings to the team is negotiations and i dont think he is very good at it.
